I did in-store pickup yesterday and got a blue leather wallet to go with my black silicon case for my iPhone 12 Pro.

The magnets are stronger than the reviews have said, in my opinion. I expected to dislike it and return it or sell it to a friend (who tried buying in-store and they were sold out), but I think I will keep it.

I haven’t tried the wallet on the phone itself, but on the silicon case, it is strong and sturdy and adds nice texture. It balances out the weight of the 12 Pro (but does make the 12 feel a little awkward as now all of the weight is on the bottom of the phone).

I was able to squeeze in my license, credit card and debit card. I added a 2nd credit card at one point, making it 4 cards, but it was impossible to remove the cards. It’s possible the leather would eventually stretch, but I think 3 cards is the max this should hold (maybe 3 cards + 1 really slim transit card or something).

I haven’t used any of the credit cards yet so I have no idea if they have been demagnetized but I doubt it.

Aside from the old TwelveSouth BookBook and Journal cases that I’ve used sporadically, this is the first leather wallet case for iPhone I’ve used, and the first that goes on the back of the phone, but so far so good. I’d recommend.

Did in store pick up for one yesterday and cancelled my other order. I’ve been randomly checking in store a availability throughout the day

Thanks, just checked my store and they have in stock, so canceled my order and picking up today! :)

I'm realising that the more cards I put in the wallet, the heavier it is and fall off easier

I have great hopes for this. Even before it was announced I’d been thinking vaguely about looking for a way to quit carrying a regular wallet around, since I seldom actually need to drag out a card and I almost never use cash anymore — and yet there are things you really need to have on you just in case, like a driver’s license and a backup credit card for when Apple Pay isn’t available. The phone is a logical thing to adapt to this task since I always carry it everywhere. So voilà!
Now I hope it works. I’m going for a minimalist configuration, black wallet on a naked silver/white Pro Max.

Thanks to everyone for the updated reports here, I'm still waiting on my order but think I'll let it arrive vs cancelling it as I had been thinking... any experience of how the wallet holds when used with the apple clear magsafe case?

Picked mine up today and it has only been a day, but it holds in place very well and I can also take credit cards out easily. Will see how it performs over the weekend. I have it attached to the Apple Silicone case.

I got a plum silicone case and a California poppy leather wallet and I'm using them for a 12 Pro pacific blue - Colour clash galore LOL

This is literally the same combo I have in my Bag right now on the Store app. lol. Can you post a photo of them together? I'd love to see if it works. :)

Can you comment on card clash if you're getting on the tube if you have an NFC card and the Transit option on for Apple Wallet?

It is RFID protected I guess. Currently I have to take out my office RFID card for every use. It is quite inconvenient.
Sorry if I did not answer your question. What explained above is just the use of wallet as standalone. I am not very sure NFC with express check out on Apple wallet will be affected. I think those are different frequency and it should not interfere. I may be wrong. Best is to put in the real world test. I am also afraid I am not in London to test that option

Yeah people should ignore the haters. I was worried about the wallet after all the negativity, but I really like it actually. Enough room for two cards and a folded bill, sticks really well to the silicone case without sliding when I put it in my pocket. It’s perfect.

Mine arrived a couple days ago in UK.

I really like it, and I think some of the reviews with YouTubers waving it around to make it detach are missing the point. I don't think the intention is for it to be really really securely attached - its more just a nice place for your wallet to slip alongside your phone. It's a little hard to describe what I mean, but for me mentally they are still two separate objects, that just happen to have a nice way of sticking together. I would still always check the wallet is there, so I have no worries about it detaching and losing it - I can't imagine how that would happen without me noticing. You need to detach it to use the cards, so I keep my most used card in the rear slot so it can easily be pushed out with the hole at the back. It's nice to be able to put your hand in your pocket, remove the wallet only (detaching from phone), use the card, then slip the wallet back into pocket and feel it snap back onto the phone.

My regular wallet is pretty similar in size and I only ever carry a few cards, so the size works for me. If you're a big wallet person or carry cash, it's obviously not going to work for you.

One thing that it would be good for someone to confirm - when I use directly on the phone (no case), I get the wallet attachment animation. However, when I use it via the clear silicon magsafe case, there is no animation or haptic when I attach, but I get a "ding" and haptic when I detach the wallet. Is that normal?

As an early skeptic of this wallet, I feel the same way after using mine for several days. It’s not for everyone, but something people just need to try out in person to really be able to judge.

I also have the clear MagSafe case and the haptic/no-animation behavior you’re describing is the same for me. Unexpected, but I guess it’s normal.

I could have kept it really as I want a black leather case too, but I already ordered one from Apple. Really can't be bothered sending back as I can't cancel.

My wallet arrived today.
