I agree the leather case being £59 is way too expensive... I got my plum silicone for £39 from John Lewis and even that is on the cusp of too much IMO. I always end up taking cases off anyway after a few weeks but it's nice to have one if I need it.

What a load of rubbish, surely your Costco, fuel or coffee rewards cards are ones you want handy, why do you need the Apple wallet when you still need another wallet, just keep all your cards in your standard wallet, at least you know that won’t drop off and get lost, all people trying to justify a huge Apple FAIL!
FYI Costco membership cards are available digitally in the Costco app in the USA.

I also have to correct myself. It’s available only in the Costco app here in the states. Can’t add to wallet yet.
Everyone is different though, this wallet will be a perfect fit for some people and not for others. That doesn’t make it a TOTAL FAIL nor does it mean that Apple are doomed and Steve would never have signed-off on it etc etc.
I didn't say TOTAL fail, I just said FAIL, I'm sure there will be some who will believe anything that Apple makes is great, I am a huge Apple fanboy but even I am old enough in years to have common sense and experience that shows this is a pointless accessory, but someone will buy it. I have just received my Apple leather case for the 12 Pro Max I have arriving on Friday, its an absolute disgrace the amount of money they charge for this thin piece of plastic, it doesn't look like leather, it doesn't smell like leather but I am sure there is some leather in there somewhere, I will be sending it back because everytime I look at it I will just think what a fool I have been.
I have used these Nodus cases in the past but currently do have a black Apple leather case on my current XS MAX phone, have a look at them all side by side below, the iphone 12 Pro Case is light as a feather, seems to have no shock protection it's so thin and minimal lip compared to the other XS MAX Apple case, you will have to check the link below to compare with the Nodus which is £20 cheaper and is made of premium Italian leather, it feels like leather and smells like leather, I have attached a pic of a 2yr old Nodus XS MAX case side by side with the new plastic/leather Apple 12 Pro Max case, you dont need to be a scientist to see the difference and which one actually looks like leather and which one looks like plastic!

No problem you did motivate me to look at my Costco App that I have but I couldn't see the option to download a digital card, anyway it seems a great idea and sure it will coe over here some day, nice to see you have some Costco stores in the US as well
It does have some kind of VERY weak magnets in it, so weak that the slightest knock would make it fall off a piece of metal, I tried on the side of a microwave and that was the case.

Yep. And I keep the physical card in the car sunglass holder thing for when I gas up. So it's actually never in my wallet.

It's an American company 😬 I think there are around 600 stores nationwide.
Also, there should be the 5 icons at the bottom of the app and Membership should be the middle one. You should be able to authenticate. It doesn't downloaded to Apple Wallet, it stays in the app. I don't see where this is restricted to USA but that's a bummer if it isn't allowed. It's very handy.

Obviously there’s a use case for the wallet but it’s not for everybody. I personally hate the wallet cases because there’s no easy way to remove the cards without taking each of them out. With the Apple wallet you can just remove so much easier it when you’re in the subway or public transportation or even in a store and don’t want your cards to be in plain sight.
personally I’m not thrilled about the price but I think it’s very good use case for the new MagSafe system. Can’t wait to see more offerings!

In London England when they grab your phone off you in the street as they ride past on motorbikes they will have your cards as well, so not a great idea unless you are lucky and the useless magnet lets the wallet fall off for you to recover! Also when you want to get your train pass out you have to get your phone out as well, more chance of being robbed, but maybe you live in a posh area with no crims, so yes handy to use in your home or safe environments I guess, leading edge technology attached to bleeding edge technology.
But that's exactly my point. With the MagSafe Wallet you have the option to take it off the phone and put it in your pocket when you're in a place like you described, but still be able to attach it quickly when needed. It provides more flexibility for exactly those situations, as opposed to a wallet case.
...I'll be honest, I was an initial hater of this wallet but after watching loads of reviews, its starting to grow on me!!
I'm just not sure it can replace my beautiful Trayvax Ascent wallet!!
