Apple MacBooks This Month? Not Tomorrow?

you can call it a day right now ;), or wait until 6:10 apple time (western time). if then the apple store is still up - it's is a confirmed false alarm
 
So seeing as it already Tuesday in Europe, I wonder why shops haven't opened the black boxes yet ?

as always the apple store's here have to wait until at least 13.30 before anything happens
 
do these "black boxes" actually exist? There seems to be some disagreement on the matter.

Hmm... Apple Expo Paris is still haunting me.... Black shrouded displays, the smell of new stuff in the air, bloody .mac updates....grrrrr.....

Yeah, we don't even find out if the store's down until 2300 - MWSF doesn't start till about 0300.

At least the Paris Expo was at a decent time - 7pm.
 
Someone at macuser.de told us, it were new Ipod nanos, with 6 & 9 gb space in the "donot open till 9th" boxes..

A little disapointing isnt it.

I'm not sure what 2300 is but the Apple Store usually goes down around 9:00 EST. It usually it only varies by about a half hour...meaning it'll be updated between 8:45 and 9:15.

he means AUS time

UK store will go down around 12.30 and be up around 13.30 - 14.00

well so far nothing on the canada site... it is 7 eastern (5 here)... maybe later... maybe next week:D (or the next...etc, etc)

edit: 2300 is 11pm... add 12 (military time in NA)

it is 0508 here now...

2300 - um 11pm. The store goes down at around 11pm (2300) or midnight (0000) and comes back up at around 1am (0100) or 2am (0200).

It's happened in the past. The US store is always the last to go down. Same thing happens each time, Europe, the Asia/Australia then the US. With the release of the 1GB iPod nano the Aussie store had it up and running about 10 minutes before the rest of them.

My bad... I thought with a (major?) new release the US would be the first to have it up, after that, the rest of the galaxy...

Not likely to be 9GB, more likely 8GB.
