I remember saying it didn't make sense last week when the page 2 rumor was a May 9th release. I told you it did not make sense.

sigh...

I had already told my friend to watch for them tomorrow too...

Well, we know who is the more reputable source, between AI and TS. crap.

Its kinda like Fight Club and Usenet.

There is only one rule about Apple, you DON'T talk about Usenet.. no I mean Apple rumors. :)

Seriously, why do we even bother reporting what AI and Think Secret says these days? They must report its going to get released every week, then cover their backs with rubbish like this the day before. Its getting ridiculous. Heres an idea - lets just wait until the bloody thing is released.

Great. Hype up a load of omg-100%-certain-there's-no-chance-we-are-wrong crap until a couple of hours before the god damn event, and then it's "wait, nevermind, forget all that".

Thanks. Thanks very much.

Ack! Ugh! OOOOh. my heart. I'm coming, Elizabeth! *passes out clutching his chest. I'm having a heart attack from NOT SURPRISE.

Wow. These appleinsider people are geniuses. They have taken oh-so-difficult-to-defend position that a rumor which pops up every week and is consistently untrue might be untrue again. I wonder how hard they had to work to find something going on in the world of computer manufacturing that would allow the staff to write an wild guess article running counter to all the other wild guess articles. Reporting on par with the journalism found next to the page 3 girl in The Sun.

I must say, Apple's been doing a good job of keeping their secrets under wraps this year. No one expected the Macbook Pro in January, or heck even the iMac.

So far all the Macbook & new iPod rumours have been completely false.

Kudos to Apple :D

can you like , be quiet? thats HARDLY good news.

The Macbook Story, episode 387...

Sigh,

If you report on a subject that many times, you're bound to be right at least once. Let's hope the reports for May are right...

Apple will have an event for the intel consumer notebook. Plus (as someone pointed out) there was no way they were going to share the spotlight with Nintendo tomorrow. It'll be later.

There is still that odd appearance of the word MacBook as part of a hierarchy menu the other day at apple.com that makes me think it is going to be announced and be made available for order this week.

Why am I not in the least suprised. This is beginning to annoy me, if you don't have good sources don't post this crap. It's really annoying. ThinkSecret is exactly what their name suggests, they think up a secret and tell everyone they don't get there information from anyone.

ThinkSecret used to be incredibly accurate, here are some remarkable examples:

1- New iPod redesign (With concept art):

2- New Cinema Displays Redesign, includes 30", drops ADC (With concept art):

3- Sub $500 Mac for release in Macworld 2004 (with specs and form-factor description, turns out to be the Mac Mini):

4- New G5-based iMac (With specs and form-factor description):

I'm telling you Apple should fire its marketing department and just "leak" new products to the AI and TS. You can't buy this of marketing.
Apple would have some control the rumor sites and at the same time save money on marketing.
Every few months they could sue a site that doesn't fall in-line. That way they could act like they still don't like the rumor sites.

Do any other computer company have "special events" to release new computers. I think it's a bit much. Just release the damn notebooks alread.

*sigh*

They're ignoring it because it's the exact same seminar description that's been used since at least last August.

If you could actually READ some of the other posts you would know Apple has been using that very same wording for their iBook seminars for a year.

This is driving me crazy. There were rumors saying that it would come out a month ago. I am losing my sanity over these ibook replacements.

You have to wait 2 weeks because then my 36 euro coupon expires. Apple WOULDN´T release a coupon that could be used for the Macbooks because Apple can sell them at original prices in more quanties than they can produce.
