I canceled my 7+ Silver 128 reservation to try to get a 7+ Silver 256. No luck, but thankfully, after a few minutes, my canceled phone appeared as available to reserve. So I'm back where I started.

For anyone in the Memphis, TN area... The Germantown store has 7+ Black 128 in Verion, 7+ Gold 128 in ATT. Don't remember what else I saw. No 7+ Silver or 256 at all.
Did it reappear for the same pickup time?
 
Called Apple because I was supposed to get a follow up call yesterday. They said I should get a call today and to not cancel my current reservation in hopes of getting the device I want. She said I'd have better odds having them change it when I go in for my reservation at 8am. I agree, I'm not gonna gamble. Have reserved a 7+ 256GB silver for AT&T. Really want a matte black though. At the end of the day if I can only get a silver I guess I'll be ok with it though.

I kept getting redirected to cdn-apple despite I don't have a reservation ... _sigh_.
Good idea, but I already looked... It had 'execution...' at the end, and when I run it, it either blows to the CDN URL or gives you the 'not available' page. There is other data that isn't in the URL. So, you really need to come from the app with no res outstanding.

My thought exactly. One device is better than none. In 12 months I can change the color.

I chose an earlier time to accommodate a meeting for work, but I could have chosen the same time. It did take a few minutes for mine to re-appear as available to reserve, so I was panicking. Anyone who tries this and needs to re-reserve your canceled model, just keep checking the selection.
 
I've posted this elsewhere but for those who thought they had a phone reserved after speaking with a rep this is important.

Monday I was told by the guy I was working with at the Apple Executive Team that they had me and my wife a phone reserved. All we had to do was go in to the store on Friday and give them my name.

I hadn't received a confirmation email so I emailed my rep. The rep just called and told me to go on the app or go online and reserve. I said "so we don't have a phone reserved?" Basically he said no this is how it had to be done.

Monday I was told I would just go in the store Friday and give them my name!
 
Any 128/256 black plus models in NYC?

I rechecked in NYC and nothing at all on 7+. Doesn't even show up as sold out, it just isn't even available as an option to select. The message "No 7+ reservations" shows up in the drop down menu.

Thanks for clarifying. This BS from Apple now means a drive to a store way out of the way. Not a killer, but why not tell us to stand by for added online stock, not imply we would be getting a custom personalized fix?

I think the earliest appointment I saw was 9am, but I could be mistaken. My original appointment was for 1pm, but I changed to 12pm.
 
Anyone in Ventura County, CA area, if you get in to the new URL while making your reservation, can you check the 7+ stock of 128GB Silver & Black at the Oaks Store? Much appreciated.

Download the app and go to your account -> my reservations. It should show there, even though it doesn't show on the website.

You cannot. It has to be the carrier you are currently on.

Yup! And I never went and did any "cancel" operation. I'm hoping in the rush on 9/9 there wasn't a glitch or hiccup.

You should be fine. I would recommend getting to your appointment time a little early if possible. Mine is 8AM, but I'm still gonna get there about 7:30. Just want to get in and out. Last year was extremely smooth, I'm concerned about this year.
 
and this how Apple should fix things! WAY TO GO!! just got on the app after reading this, thought I would have already missed out, but I just reserved my iPhone in Palo Alto for this Friday! 7Plus Black 128gb! SWEET! It was never fair to not even be given an option to reserve an iPhone, that was just CRAZY...I hope next year we don't have this problem...I never wanted preferential treatment, I just wanted the program to work the way it was suppose to and allow me to reserve an iPhone just like everyone else

update:
just checked my apple app to make sure it is under my reservations and it is, it clearly shows I have 7plus 128gb black reserved for this Friday at Palo Alto, CA...make sure you have this

I didn't even check to see if mine was hooked to a store. I just check 'reservations' and its there.
 
So basically if you spent hours on the phone nothing was done except a process was created? Lol.

That process is either fill out this sheet, or check our website. What a way to waste peoples time. There was no point in taking down our information for models, and preferred stores and waiting hours just to provide that information.

This confirms the initial suspicions, that IUP customers upgrading were given a separate stock bucket versus the general public (those not on IUP).
