Not surprising, though I feel we should describe it as an iPhone Plus sized OLED display iPhone.

Indeed and for various issues I do not want the smaller 8. I have been in plus sizes since their release and with my big hands and bigger screen very happy. So staying with 7 plus for now and then when I have paid off my apple 20 month payments I can start thinking about a "9 plus" with the OLED and watch how the 8 does with whatever is new in it ;-)

Good to hear since I'm keeping my 256 iPhone 7+ as there are just way too may problems with this forthcoming version 8. MAYBE by next year they will finally be able to produce a GOOD iPhone that will be worth spending way too much money to get. Between the 50% charging and no touch control and a few other things, maybe they can figure it out and make a DECENT iPhone in the way that this current iPhone 8 OLED SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE. Comes a time when buying a new iPhone every year just needs to stop, especially when they plan to raise the selling price WAY TOO HIGH!!!

yes you have summarized my many issues. And along with fact that my 7+ 256 was gotten with the apple payment plan and I have no apple store within 100 miles it would be a pain to upgrade. Let others try out the 8 and by next year the 9 + might be worth getting (and I have my old 7+ 256 fully paid off as backup or to sell ;-) ). I like the plus size and not willing to go back. I have large hands and it fits comfortably in mine to use, no going back to smaller size for me ;-)

I'm confused, do you work at Foxconn? Where have you seen this technically non-existent phone that you claim is riddled with problems?

Or about $2.75/day for a year. It's the cost of a cup of coffee a day.

Imagine if the only way Starbucks worked was that you'd pay $1000 for a coffee card where you could get 1 coffee a day for a year.

It doesn't work that way, neither does buying a phone. Most people pay in installments, so the price is not that high all at once.

Yes, but people's daily expenses do not stop at "1 cup of coffee a day" unless they are in high school. When companies make those kinds of pitches it's smoke and mirrors.

$2.75/day for phone, no prob. But then there is the car note or lease for $16/day and the rent or mortgage at $50/day and the utility bills at $6/day and actual food at $25/day and clothes allowance amortized at $4/day per person and the cable/netflix/spotify bill and on and on. At some point people don't have another cent to spend per day no matter how enticing "just $2 more per day" sounds.

There was once a time when the larger phones appear ridiculous when a call was being made - now with AirPods, nobody ever really sees the phone if stowed away in a purse or pocket. Lately I've become a fan of the larger phones.

As per usual, the disinformation campaign has started up just before the new iPhone launch in order to sow seeds of doubt in buyers minds, so that they may delay buying this year's model.
I don't think it takes a conscious "disinformation campaign" for most people to surmise that next year's tech will be incrementally advanced, compared to this year's offering. We each will decide if it's upgrade time, or not; everything going on in the world isn't a conspiracy.

It's not really a larger screen, just more screen to reach. This aspect ratio will just be a pain in the butt for developers.

Somehow I don't think that is an ideal device to do banking, email, and shopping from.

That's amazing news, I guess the homepod got it right again with the code mentioning a 6.5inch screen iPhone. This is the iPhone I'll be waiting for then.

Can we just get to the rumors for the next iPad Pro, Pencil 2, and Smart Keyboard 2 please?

My guess is 7S and 7S plus (Bezels) are gone next year and will be replaced with the near bezel less iPhone 5.85 (footprint of the 4.7-inch iPhone) and iPhone 6.46 (footprint of the 5.5-inch iPhone).

The biggest question I think is will they take place of the 7S & 7S Plus price points or will it maintain it's higher price point that is to be introduced this year with the iPhone x/8/edition?

I'd like an iPhone 4 sized iPhone with an edge to edge screen, similarly in design to what is rumored for the iPhone X Edition 8 Superman.

I want an iPhone 4 size phone again. I hope they make one. That'd be so cool.
[doublepost=1504193723][/doublepost]Remember the Palm Pre? I wonder if phones will ever be that small again. Lol

I'd like a screen the size of the 7 (non-plus) in a device with a smaller footprint instead.

This is given to drive more sales...

I see this as 8S and 8S Plus along with some sort of iPhone Pro that works with Apple Pencil in 2018.

What this means is that the premiums skyrocket!

I can see the 8S as dropping to $899, $999, $1099 in 64GB, 256GB, 512GB sizes

The 8S Plus as $999, $1099, $1199 in 64GB, 256GB, 512GB sizes

iPhone 9 Pro (6.4" screen) $1099, $1199, $1299 and will come in 128GB, 512GB, 1TB sizes

Whiles the 7S and 7S Plus becomes the consumer value handset starting at $599... in which they will only come in 64GB and 128GB sizes.

Next year will be a huge year for Apple!

I'm looking forward to the 7.9" iPhad Maxi.

I wrote that, re-read it, thought it was dumb but then realized that sentence had unintentional layers of jokes. Screw it, I'm leaving it.
