I was going to post the same thing. And yes it was Phil.
Phil should have dumped them exactly after receiving their monumentality moronic email response.
Maybe Apple needs to dump Phil. Yes, those email exchanges from TBWA (sounds like an airliner) were unprofessional, but Phil sure took what they said personally. It actually scares me that he seems to actually believe his employer is perfect and can do no wrong. He needs to lighten up a little bit, step back, and look at the big picture. I don't like these new ads showcasing now the product is changing a specific person's life. It's great and all that it can, but any smartphone could. All my friends (I'm 18 years old, so thats the age group I'm talking about here) don't care about a certain app. They like the simplicity, the coolness factor, etc.
Why not focus on the amazing new features (well they don't have any that standout) but the could have highlighted the dual flash, or they advantage of a 64 bit platform (they did that in the computer world with the G5)..What about Touch ID? Sure it isn't a large feature, but thats because it fits seamlessly into the everyday usage of the iPhone 5s. Sometimes the best ideas are ones that fit right in, and were "meant to be"
Their ads are not to effective in my opinion for the teenager market. They need to look at the age and wants of the majority of the customers.
Actually they still do, they usually update them yearly just like the iPhone and they just updated the Mac Pro and MacBook Air slightly a few months ago. there should even be more updates this fall. The Mac mini is a little behind but it should get a refresh soon. Apple says it all the time, The Mac is a big part of the company.
Yes, but they used to care about the Macintosh. They would update the products multiple times a year, release a polished version of OS X every couple of years instead of a yearly half baked OS schedule they are on now. Yes they did just update the Mac Pro.. after THREE YEARS of doing nothing. Keep in mind, the new Mac Pro was announced over a year ago, but Cook took his time to get it out the door. Same with the updated iMac design. The 27" took a while to become available. And what a revolutionary idea to remove the optical drive, make it thinner, and weaker at the same time. The "new" magical 21.5" iMac is a rip off. No upgradable RAM, slow CPU, over priced, etc.. They don't care about the Macintosh. The money is at the iOS field, not the Macintosh, hence the half assed products as of late.
