Agreed...$50 is nice and I'll probably be doing the exact same thing and buying an unlocked one.

But it's LONG overdue that T-Mobile just gets a modern network. They at least should have had it rolled out by now in major cities...do we have a list of where it's LTE yet?

That quote from Tim Cook came to mind when I read this story, too. I'm 99% convinced that the leaked parts represent the upcoming iPhone, but have a sliver of doubt since I'm unable to gauge Tim Cook's poker face.

If the current leaks are a plant to fool everyone, and we haven't seen even the tiniest of leaks for the real "iPhone", well then TC is a super genius. Like it or not, the new iPhone has already been revealed.

Seems pretty nailed on now, but I'm far more interested in the imac updates if they are discussed at the same time...Replacing my 4S will happen if, and only if Apple increase the screen size and re-design the phone significantly.

Someone at Apple realizes that the iPhone 4S could not sale for an entire year. The iPhone 5 should have been announced a week before the Samsung S3 was released. Now your going up against Samsung Note 2, HTC , Moto and Windows phone 8 this fall.

If you want LTE you'll have to either stay with AT&T, or go with Verizon. T-Mobile won't have LTE until next spring/summer time. The good news with that is that they'll be deploying LTE-Advanced (which is considered "true 4g"). In the meantime, their HSPA+ 42Mbps network has speeds comparable to LTE, so it shouldn't be too bad without LTE for a while.
