iTunes 5.0 with HD movies to purchase (maybe a completely seperate store)
New Airport Express with HD hookups since no one wants to watch movies on a computer
And the big annoucement of the new Ipod HD Movie player (80gb). Same size as the current fullsize models but the whole front is a screen. Maybe the round touchpad pops out the side. Instead of a docking station, they'll have a stand to make it look like the new iMacs for better viewing. It will also have optional cables for HD hookups as well.
I don't think Apple wants to take baby steps with a video player. There is no way to buy HD movies at the moment, so Apple would get a jump start before the release of HD DVD players. This is the only revolutionary thing they can do. I could be way off because I'm not sure how many HD movies in apple's new format would fit on an 80gb drive. Maybe it will only be 50 HD movies in your pocket.

What good would a HD movie be on a cell phone/iPod with 3 inch screen?

Roxy promised "some cool stuff on the way for you next week, things so big it's gonna blow your mind"! Recycled TV wouldn't blow my mind, but given the way Apple like to overhype everything it wouldn't surprise me either.JCentourage said:I feel (read I hope) that the lack of any new music added today (Tues) means that there is a big enough change coming to iTunes / Music Store content, that they need to wait until after tomorrows event and reveal. This hopefully means video, but at least means more than a stupid phone.

The enclosure will be slimmer, sexier and sleeker than any image that has appeared on the internet up until now. The phone will be unique in design exclusive for Apple and not a rebranded Motorola phone. Our source also informed us that we can also expect to see more than just iTunes integration. Possibly iPhoto, iCal, iChat or iSync? USB 2.0 and a media card are also integrated into the phone. We may have more info before tomorrows announcement so stay tuned...

Macrumors said:Meanwhile, analysts reported that interest in an Apple-branded iTunes phone appears to generate a significant amount of interest based on a small 200-person survey.
Sizes are reported to come in a 4GB, 6GB and 8GB sizes and sport a color screen with slightly higher resolution.

Kelmon said:I'm going to echo what most people have said in that I hope that the big announcement does not involve the iTunes phone or, for preference, the iPod at all. However, I do see the point of combining both cell phone and iPod together since both items are becoming increasingly important parts of people's lives (the phone having been established for a while and the MP3 player becoming normal).

Although some users have been able to get their macs and cell phones to communicate the process isn't APPLE like and takes skills that average mac users may not feel comfortable with. Not to mention you are totally on your own as no cell carriers that I know have support options for bluetooth enabled mac / cell data connections.
My big hope for Sept 7th is that the iTunes enabled phone as built in support for Cingular's EDGE network! Perhaps we could even see an Apple Airport/EDGE hybrid card. Sony has teamed up verizon to deliver such a card.
