your reward is having people ask you about it. Which is what we all want anyway right, some exclusivity and public acknowledgement that we were up at 12:01 to order it?
Cause in a couple weeks, itll be just any old ':apple:Watch'

Actually, no.

I stayed up because I wanted a watch. And I didn't want to wait. I knew it would sell out quickly.

Early adopters get their jollies by being early adopters.

(I can say that because I am one.)

No compensation required. To be is to compensation enough.

The amount of childish entitlement in this thread is disgusting. I'm glad some people called the OP out on it, though.

I'm still laughing at equating a badge with a discount. Really? Do you think one might be more "valuable" than the other to early adopters?

A lot of people seem to think they have a promised April 24th delivery date. If you have a 4/24-5/8 range then Apple is not breaking their promise to you unless they miss that May 8th date.

Doesn't mean I don't think a lot of folks will get a watch on the 24th, but I also think just as many people will be disappointed.

I'm going to print out my invoice and send it in to get it signed my Tim Cook and Jony Ive. Don't any of you guys do the same thing, I want to own an exclusive trinket!

Seriously though, the Jobs-Apple would not have spent a single thought on early adopters. Bought the first, ****** model? Ha, sucker! Buy the new, better one! (although they did give a voucher to buyers of the initial overpriced iPhone)

With Cook-Apple I'm not sure, anything seems possible. The man is full of surprises.

This is the kick starter mentality though.
Hey, buy my s*** before I actually put any cash into making it, and Ill give you a discount And engrave your s*** for you as a special thank you for being first and bank rolling my business

Your right. When I think about it I've been an early adopter with Apple for over fifteen years, they are due me a Malibu beach house dam it.

Seriously, how over entitled are people getting these days, It's bloody ridiculous. Or am I just getting old. You'll get your reward from Apple, you'll get what you paid for. Possibly have it before a lot of other people and get a shiny new toy to play with all rolled into one.

Sorry I hate that I've even responded but if the op is actually being serious, aagghh I just despair, it winds me up.

A novel idea this.

I'm all for monetary compensation.

Heck, just send my money anyway. I deserve it!

The only "Reward" is if apple doesn't ship within' the estimated shipping time which for me is 4/24-5/8

Wow, feeling entitled much? The only thing they "owe us" is a delivery of the product we purchased in the designated time-frame according to our order, nothing more and nothing less.

Exactly my same point. You said what I was trying to say but better. :)

Not sure why so much negativity.

If there's actually a strong competitor, I wonder if Apple would go above and beyond to woo our business.

But as is, no need, from the posts I see from this thread a lot of people are more than happy to hand over their money as fast as possible just to get the toy in hand, hope this will last for Apple.

This is nothing about entitlement, far from it. This is a thread to discuss if Apple appreciates us as consumers for continuing to support their products and give them business, by taking the chance of being the very first group of people buying a new product category and be the advocates (advertising) to get more people onboard with this new device.
