Apple Now Accepting Pre-Orders for iPhone 4S, Unlocked Coming in November

Oh I'm not impressed by the phone... It's just been soo long since I've had a new phone this will have to do.
Someone said if you order it from Apple before the 14th, you're fine.
I said earlier that it's not like Apple to shut out a customer just because they changed their mind. I bet if you visited an Apple store within the 30 days of purchase, they'd allow it and even help you set it up.

Honestly it blows my mind that people still complain over Apple products - shouldn't they just accept that Apple just might have a better sense of what will work and what will sell?
Seems to me that about a little over a year ago people went nuts, all over the news and everything, over flaws with the iPhone 4 - hasn't that been the top selling phone sense its pre-order days? and doesn't it have a 98% customer satisfaction rating?

Had no issues keeping my now 4 year old unlimited data plan through at&t. It's the least at&t can do given how much I spend with them every month. I should really be asking for more from them.
Woke up at 3 AM EST.. Apple store wasn't open yet. Nodded off... Woke up at about 4. Couldn't get anywhere on the Apple or ATT website. Gave up and went back to sleep. Woke up again around my normal time (6:30 AM). Tried again on Apple's website and order went through like a breeze - just like ordering an Apple Keyboard in the middle of February...
Process was smooth on Apple's site. Black 64gb with unlimited through ATT. Just got the confirmation email.
Ordered mine from the UK.
I love the current shape & screen size so can't wait to try the 4S.

Went online a little after 6:00am EST Apple.com went smoothly, kept my unlimited data plan through AT&T ordered a 32gb black phone and received a email with the transaction

And yes they do. My girlfriend ridiculed me for waking up 30min before I was told pre-orders would start just because I didn't trust that Fido wouldn't open reservations a little early. But at 5:36 pre-orders went live. I can't wait to tell her I am number one and watch her eyes roll

Ordered mine through Verizon just now with no problems. No server hiccups or anything. Good to go.
That's not an accurate indicator of demand. I work in Infosec and I can tell you that when a ton of requests are sent to a server, not even in the tens or hundreds of thousands range, can cripple a server.
How do you know AT&T kept your unlimited plan? I ordered mine a little after 5AM from the AT&T site....all it said was "Data Plan $30.00" I couldn't find any details as to what the plan actually was it was giving me....keeping my old unlimited or something new.
Order sailed through the Apple system at 6:30am. Black 64GB keeping unlimited ATT data plan. No issues.
HOWEVER, trying to change phone number on order, system is hosed. Slow, getting Oops pages. No luck. Perhaps by 7am they are really getting hammered.

When I ordered from the Apple Store app on my 3GS, it gave me a choice of data plans, including letting me keep the unlimited data for $30. The unlimited is the only plan for $30, so it sounds like that's what you have, even if AT&T didn't say so.
My Wifes phone had unlimited data and it showed up as an option when I did hers. Yay!
My phone did not, I had the 5GB for $30, and the only options I got were less than that and 5GB with mobile hotspot for $45. Crap. I just want to keep things the way they are. oh well... got two.
Apple.com fail. Couldn't change my shipping address. I guess I'll have to wait in line on Friday.
Since I get a discount through my employer maybe it was the unlimited. The order showed "Data Plan $30.00" and a line below it "15% discount -$4.50" so maybe I'm set....I just don't want the hassle of having to have to call AT&T after the phone arrives and trying to get unlimited back if they did change it. Time will tell I guess.
