I got the same thing. You just didn't get the employee discount on the hardware purchase (the iPhone). You should continue to receive it on your plans.

I gave up. Neither website would work trying to order a 16/32 black.
Called 611 for ATT. 123 minutes on hold, so order placed around 6:45.
I went to sleep, my wife got up and finished the order. Took 5 minutes once we got to someone but will arrive on launch day.

JUST (8:12 AM EST) placed pre-order through AT&T website for 32GB White iP4S. Was very easy, upon logging on they asked if I would like to upgrade one of the lines. (Logged on around 8:05 AM EST, so no wait at all.)
Good thing I just buzzed all my hair off, cause I'd be pulling it out every day until the 14th

I figure I can change it before it ships. Although the order tracking and ability to change an order's shipping address appears to be down.
I woke up last night at 3AM EST to pre order 2 new iPhones. Apple's online store didn't go up until 3:45AM EST. I tried to go through the pre order process about 30 times before I gave up. It always hung when it was either checking my AT&T eligibility or retrieving my AT&T plan. So, I finally went back to sleep around 4:30AM.
I woke up at 7AM, took my iPad out and pre ordered 2 new iPhones in less than 5 minutes. I guess I wasn't the only one with the bright idea to pre order when it first became available. New iPhones should be delivered next Friday!

Mine said something similar...but it was replacing a line that still had 200MB per month. Not sure what the disclaimer was for then...

Now I'm worried after reading some of the posts here. I got a reservation, then placed my order and saw that my credit card had been charged. I haven't received an e-mail order confirmation yet though and it's almost 45 minutes later.
Another annoying thing to deal with- you can't change your shipping address when checking out on Apple. It automatically ships to the address on the master account with AT&T, which for me is a friend's house who has moved out of state months ago. Not sure what to do right now. Will post updates soon...

I ran into problems with Apple's site as well - and their phones were down completely. So since I was just upgrading my existing phone, I just ordered it from AT&T's site. I was able to purchase the upgraded phone with no issues. Then this morning about 5 AM I received an e-mail from AT&T saying my new iPhone was processed for shipment and should arrive by Friday, October 14th. I even have a tracking number but when I click on it it says that it is only processed for shipment but hasn't left the warehouse yet. Comin' next Friday!!!

x2. I'd at least like to get my order in. I also wonder why they are waiting before releasing them, and not saying when in November? Perhaps its because by and large, Americans don't buy unlocked*, and they want that stock for other countries?
* - Before you bring up that no carrier gives you a discount, remember that all through 2010, T-Mobile did give you a $10/month discount. Google tried selling the Nexus One SIM-free (European style).
AT&T has a huge warning sign that they will only ship to the billing address.
I think they are doing this initially to prevent the resellers from ordering too many of these.

I was grandfathered in for my $10 unlimited data, but I currently get a discount on voice but did'nt see my rate!
Just got up and tried again with no problems. Under voice, the message said "no changes" so now I wait and see if my phone gets here next Friday!
I really needed more storage, my 3Gs is maxed out. So I'm used to being part of the "S Upgrade Cycle" looking forward to my second iPhone!

on a side note, if i order for in store pick up on friday, its not guaranteed right? id be getting the phone after work around 7 pm.

You can't change your billing info on your payment card to where you are now and then have it shipped there? It doesn't have to be permanent. You can just change it back to whatever it was as soon as you get your iphone.
I did the same thing this morning. I screwed up at 3:30am realized my apple id was pointing at some outdated email and address and had to give in frustration till 8:00am this morning and edited all of the billing info, apple id addresses, etc. It's a pain in the ass, but worth it.
WTF are AT&T playing at.... most of the way through upgrade and it tells me my unlimited data plan will be replaced "continue"? Errr, no thanks AT&T... [close window]

thanks for the info, but im saying my ATT account info is with my family. i moved away. so my credit card is where i am, but the account address is in another state and it wont let me change that. ill just have to go into the apple store i suppose.

Well, can't order, apple or AT&T. Problem isn't the online sites, they seem to be running just fine.
My mobile account has a p.o. box listed as the mailing address, and there is no option to change it at all. It says I haven't "had a first bill yet" and yet, I've had this AT&T account for OHHH, bout a decade.
Also, I have the 5$ messaging plan and don't want to either lose it, and there is no way to confirm the selection on either site. I CAN select the unlimited data plan though for 30$ (which is what I have had since having a 3gs iphone)
