Apple Now Accepting Pre-Orders for iPhone 4S, Unlocked Coming in November

I hate ATT

This is getting so old. Of course...ATT servers are messed up or something because it won't let me go through. Anybody else having the SAME OLD TROUBLES as always with these preorders???
 
Email I received from Apple after "reserving?" my 32 GB from ATT:

Dear Apple Customer,
Your iPhone has been reserved and your reservation number is: XxXxXxXxXx

We will email you at this address (XxXxXxX@gmail.com) when it’s time to complete your order. At that time, you will return to the Apple Store to confirm pricing and plan selection.

You may check the status of your reservation at any time by visiting buyiphone.apple.com/status

Gave up on the Apple Site, a company worth as much as apple can't build a infastructure able to handle the demand of its products, this isn't there first Rodeo.

ATT order worked the first time I tried.

HOW HOW HOW?!?!?!?!?! When I click to upgrade it doesn't let me keep unlimited. what the freak lol. hit me up on twitter or something
 
trying to get a 32 gb black from att. of course att is down and apple won't get past the first loading page probably because of att being down. leave it to att :mad:
 
apple's site seems to be running smoothly but when it tries to connect to ATT, it doesn't work. man ATT is horrible. honestly if u aren't upgrading but rather getting a new line, don't use ATT

Some services on your current device may not be available and will be replaced by similar services during upgrade. You may add or delete services at any time by logging into your account at ATT.com.
Removed Features:
Data Unlimited for iPhone

Does this mean I am no longer grandfathered for unlimited data?
 
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Impossible to order. Period! In spite of trying non-spot since the moment the store was back online. What the F! This sucks!

I never thought it would be this hard to give someone my money. Apple's site won't process my request and AT&T says "Our express upgrade store does not currently support your device type. Please login to MyATT to upgrade online".

Well, looks like Sprint.com is up and running fine. Just managed to order a iPhone 16GB 4S as a existing Sprint customer. Now trying to get a few more hours of sleep...
 
tried endlessly to use apple site. Kept crashing. The thought I was coming close on app store app using ipad, but hung at end. Finally I took the advice of the people on this board and just went to the Verizon site, and all seemed to work (although I dont have a receipt per se, it says I am in credit verification).

One thing that may have been a problem ordering on Apple app:

I am transferring my iphone number from ATT. When asked or a contact number, I still listed that cell number since that is what I still have. App seemed to accept it, but Verizon store would not. Could be why it kicked out order on App store.

I do have a Verizon Ipad, but could not seem to list that as a current acct to add to. No big deal, unless they kick back the order. Then I will be pretty annoyed.

Anyway, I am pretty tired, and never thought to just try the Verizon site. Thanks MR.

Lastly, I am pretty darn surprised that Apple was not ready for this onslaught. Imagine if there was an Iphone 5?!?

on what site? Because AT&T has been crapping out for almost an hour and a half....and Apple runs smoothly until you choose AT&T....This has to be AT&T's fault.
 
good to know ATT's on their A game.... all of this now is because ATT's upgrade service took a dump... and yet if you dial *639# it comes right back as "as a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-year commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."..... if i didnt have a grandfathered unlimited iphone plan for my wife and I, I swear i'd just switch to VZW
 
I had far less trouble pre-ordering my iPad 2. This is ridiculous. I'm wondering if AT&T servers are the problem.

AT&T worked perfectly for me. It was Apple's site I couldn't get to do ANYTHING.
 
WTF, I have a discount because of my employer and THAT is screwing me out of preordering through ATT? Wow, thanks ATT for wasting an hour and a half I should have been sleeping.

I eff'ing hate this country. Anywhere else in the world I can just buy the stupid phone and take it to whatever carrier I want, whenever I want. Not in the land of the free, what a crock.

i was able to select my existing unlimited data plan from at&t. then i got to the checkout and OOPS!

this sucks, now i can't even get passed the "check eligibility page."
