Apple October 2008 Notebook Media Event Coverage

Too much speculation for me!

I like the supprise of the Keynote but the these rumors seem way to accurate for my liking.

I just hope there is still some other cool stuff to reveal and it hasnt all been done on the rumor sites.

I so hope you are right...

.... it would be cruel to announce Air now and release it in January. ;)

BTW there's at least one good thing about MBP's photo... it's clearly 16:10. It could have been worse.
 
My best guess at what people will complain about:

1. Price
2. "The trackpad is a button??"
3. Glossy screen
4. Lack of Mini Updates
5. lack of iMac updates
6. Lack of Mac tablet
7. Lack of Blu-Ray

You have the option to not visit Macintosh rumor sites, or simply avoid the web until you are sure the keynotes are posted ;) .

i am not going to complain about other reasons but the price...i thing that 1300$ is just too much for an entry level macbook:(
 
is it just me or do those gizmodo shots not seem to fit with the spy shots from last night? The curved bottom in particular doesn't seem the same.

I'd add displays (likely to be aimed at pros and complained about by consumers), the non-existant midrange mac and shipping dates too.
 
there just something i don't get, in the picture the screen isn't attached to the bottom while the bottom is divided in two by the battery, and what is that thing in the middle????? is it there to attach the screen to the bottom, cause then it might be a tablet. although i doubt it and would'nt like it. only two hours till we know
 
live coverage? does that mean actually live video feed or just posting what is happening in 'text'?

it's live blogging...someone there will post pictures and updates as they are said at the event. it's quite neat. but not streaming video or anything during the event.
 
When do you think these new notebooks will be available at the apple store?

Also, do they come bundled with the new ILIFE 09?
 
ok no, the thing in the middle looks like the battery pack?? just speculating and nervous for this evening

They should be available for purchase online today. If they are not available in the retail stores today they should be available within a couple of days. I do however expect them to be available for purchase today.
