Yeah no. You haven't. You've seen frauds that pretend.LOL but all these other companies including no-name Chinese and Korean brands can? I’ve seen plenty of similar products.
How much R&D money was burned by this?
Odd considering what it says on the box of my wireless Charging Case for Airpods that I just bought

To be fair, no other company has been able to create an AirPower equivalent.
Wow, that's quite a big deal and a very public failure. Still, good of them to pull the plug if it just wasn't working out.
I'm personally very happy with my Nomad base station (with Apple Watch charger). In a way, I found it more interesting than the AirPower since it allows the watch to be in nightstand mode.
Shows how much you or the average poster knows. Those AirPods boxes were manufactured as far back as September. Newer ones have no such picture or reference. This is an April fools joke-- if they knew this today, they knew it a month ago and wouldn't advertise it on the AirPods 2 box. They know how thirsty the tech media is for this.

That's if you make assumptions about what they actually said...They clearly couldn’t get it to work the way they wanted too.
Not to get all conspiracy theorist on this, but TechCrunch is the only news outlet reporting this and they are reporting that Apple made the announcement through email sent to THEM. That seems like a really strange way for Apple to announce this.
Rest in peace, sweet prince. We hardly new you.
