Except I have zero interest in Apple Music. I only want iTunes Match. iTunes match is $24.99/year, while Apple Music is $9.99/month. Not exactly a savings there.

I say this as gently as possible... they are trying to bundle so most people spend MORE and have MORE services. If you only use 1 or 2 services, and only the lower tier they hope to entice you to use MORE... these plans were never about people using only 1 or 2 services and then still getting a discount...

Do you know how that would work? I currently have 200GB and am considering the individual plan. Could I get that, upgrade to 200GB and then just pay extra for the difference when normally going from 50>200GB?
They don't explain it well on Apple. It says you can upgrade if you need more but doesn't explain how it works.

Sorry, I don't know anything about CD's.

It's exactly the same. Once you rip the CD to your library it will automatically go through the match process. If a match is found then it gets the match status (without DRM). If a match isn't found then it gets uploaded (also without DRM).

Again I speak as someone who used both services extensively. There is nothing that iTunes Match offers that Apple Music doesn't (aside from the cheaper cost).

No brainer; I currently pay C$14.99 (Music)+ C$12.99 (iCloud) and was just about to cancel the C$5.99 (Arcade) not to mention Apple TV expiring next month. The addition of ongoing Apple TV, News+, and Fitness + seems to be an easy sell to just continue along at that cost, especially since it'll cover the whole family.
At first I thought there was no way I would do the premier version, as I really don’t want to pay for Arcade. But when I look at the fact I’m already paying $14.99 for Apple Music Family plan, plus $9.99 for 2TB of iCloud storage, paying another $5 and getting to continue on with AppleTV+ and News+, plus get Fitness+, it’s not a tough decision. And at least one of my kids will likely use Arcade since he won’t have to pay for it himself. And just like that, Apple gets another ~$5 a month out of me (although I pay via Apple Card, so I will only pay $29.05 a month, which is a nice perk.

Exactly, and I can't find an answer about this anywhere. Disney will take the D+ price off of the D+ Hulu ESPN+ bundle if you get D+ through VZW. Why can't Apple??
Here's to hoping they will! I know this is all new info and it's not even available yet, but hopefully they will have considered this and take it into account. It would be killer for Verizon to offer the individual Apple One bundle in place of Apple Music alone, but I seriously doubt we would see that anytime soon or ever.

My iCloud and Appstore are on separate accounts - I have to pay iCloud storage on the iCloud account and Apple Music on the Appstore account. Any idea if AppleOne will even work for me!?

Actually, doing a quick search suggests that iTunes Match is included in the Apple Music sub (?) I always thought they were entirely separate things.
Wow that’s news to me. I’m currently paying for Apple Music and iTunes Match. Going to cancel iTunes Match right now...

Premier is already awesome. Shocked at people saying it should be $5 cheaper. Come on, this is Apple, not a thrift store.

I just wish they did better with their iCloud storage. This tells me they don't plan on changing their storage offerings for awhile.

The lower tier storage options are still a joke, but for our family of four the Premier bundle is good value for money. For an extra £7 a month (over 2TB and Music Family sub), we can get Arcade, Fitness+, Apple TV and News.

If the Fitness+ stuff is as good as it looks, those types of services can be $80 - $100 a year on their own.

Family of 4... already pay 15 for music, and who knows how much across 4 iCloud storage plans... plus Apple TV+ I’ll probably keep after my free 12 months ends. This might save me a ton at 29.99.

I'm on a 2TB data and Family Music plan.

I'm curious if Apple will continue to offer TV+ at no cost to those of us upgrading our iPhones. (as has been the case) - Because even if you like the TV - it's one less service that you really need in the Premier plan.

I guess, if TV remains free to people who purchase/upgrade hardware - then I'll need to see what the middle tier bundle cost is with upgraded storage.
It seems to be a one time only offer: https://www.apple.com/ie/promo/pdf/IE_TV_Plus_Promo.pdf

Since TV+ only launched last November, I don't think you can use the past year's introductory offer as a way of saying it "has been the case" that Apple offers "TV+ at no cost to those of us upgrading our iPhones." I would be very surprised if they continue doing that this year... it was a way to get subscribers on the books the first year and make the service look strong.

I'm a bit surprised people don't like these prices.

I'm already paying $2.99 for 200GB cloud, $14.99 for family music, and $4.99 for tv+.

I can get everything I currently have PLUS Arcade for $2 CHEAPER; or for $7 more, I get Arcade, News, and Fitness, and 10x more storage. All of which are $9.99 individually I believe? That seems like a pretty good deal to me!

What am I missing?
Last year Apple TV+ was free if you bought ANYTHING new from Apple. Might not still be the case. Also, renewal is $50 annually. That's the same as 2 free months.

Now I do have mine a couple family member iCloud plans I could consolidate, but I don't see Apple Arcade having any value. And honestly, I don't use Apple Music, only my kids do.

So I'm not sure the Apple One works for me. I would pay $200 annually for Premier. But not $360!!

4 icloud storage plans?! You know you can share a single plan amongst your family?

Possibly. If you use your App Store account for the One plan, then add your iCloud account into Family Sharing, you can share your iCloud storage that way (and cancel the current iCloud storage, of course). I believe this will work..but double check, just in case!

Not the 50GB plan IIRC. Only the 200GB and 2TB plans can be shared.
But if you have 4 separate iCloud plans, that’s at least 200 GB already!

I’d be all over the family plan if they’d included 500GB or more of storage.

Their tiers are so stupidly setup anyway... 200GB is 2.99 and next step up is 1TB at 9.99. Nevermind that the vast majority of “power users” fall squarely in between.

Of course. But 4 plans when you can share one and make things simple. Granted 4 50gb plans is only $4 versus $3 for one sharable 200gb plan. Though if one has 4 200gb plans then that's $12 for 800gb rather than $10 for 2000gb

In the uk it seems they’ve messed up the pricing.

I pay £14.99 a month for Apple Music family and £6.99 for 2TB iCloud.

The premier plan is £29.99.

That means it is £7 more than these two. The equivalent in the US is $5 more.

So either we are getting a particularly good deal on iCloud storage currently or the premier bundle is substantially worse value compared to my starting point.

I’d be interested to understand how the iCloud storage upgrades work for people who get the family plan and then upgrade the storage to 2TB. That could be an option depending on how it’s calculated.

Have you met my wife? Her photo-taking is tourist level and that's within our own home. ;-)

But on a serious note... no, they pre-date any sharing - which I believe only started a year ago? And I have 2 50GB for 99 cent subs.
