No brainer; I currently pay C$14.99 (Music)+ C$12.99 (iCloud) and was just about to cancel the C$5.99 (Arcade) not to mention Apple TV expiring next month. The addition of ongoing Apple TV, News+, and Fitness + seems to be an easy sell to just continue along at that cost, especially since it'll cover the whole family.

I'm on a 2TB data and Family Music plan.

I'm curious if Apple will continue to offer TV+ at no cost to those of us upgrading our iPhones. (as has been the case) - Because even if you like the TV - it's one less service that you really need in the Premier plan.

I guess, if TV remains free to people who purchase/upgrade hardware - then I'll need to see what the middle tier bundle cost is with upgraded storage.
Since TV+ only launched last November, I don't think you can use the past year's introductory offer as a way of saying it "has been the case" that Apple offers "TV+ at no cost to those of us upgrading our iPhones." I would be very surprised if they continue doing that this year... it was a way to get subscribers on the books the first year and make the service look strong.

I wish they had a plan without the arcade games for people that don't care about playing games.
Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade are the cheapest services for Apple to provide. They have an upfront cost for Apple, but very little in per-additional-user costs. (not exactly sure how revenue is shared with Arcade, I suppose developers could receive more money if more people are subscribed)
For Music and News, Apple has to pay licensing costs per user. And Cloud storage requires them to purchase and upkeep physical hard drives.

The icloud tiers and pricing suck. I pay 20 for apple music and 2 TB. I’m not going to the third tier for the unnecessary crap.

Middle tier should have 500 GB of storage.

icloud storage tiers are hopelessly screwed up.

The Premier plan makes a lot of sense. My wife and I already pay $25/m for Music and iCloud storage, another $5/m for everything else is pretty reasonable.

I say this as someone pretty averse to subscriptions, cloud storage is worth its weight in gold, having the security of all that data backed up is fantastic, plus the included security video. Music is perhaps a little steep but meh.

I just hope they actually improve Apple TV+, as of now Greyhound was the only thing worth watching.

I thought iCloud storage/price is pretty much inline with every other provider? I do agree the middle tier should probably be something like 500GB.

What am I missing? iTunes Match functionality is included with Apple Music. It's available separately at a cheaper price for those who don't need Apple Music capability, but I transitioned my whole iTunes Match library into Apple Music years ago with no problem and can still match stuff I ripped myself just fine.
I like how you answered your own question of "What am I missing?" "It's available at a cheaper price for those who don't need Apple Music capability..." I have zero use of Apple Music as I only play music I own. So why would I want to pay such a premium?

Very pleased with the pricing. I’ll save $3 and get an added subscription to arcade with the 2nd tier.

I’ll hold off on Premier till I hear some feedback on Fitness+. Hopefully there is a free trial.
You get one month free trial on anything you never had before, and I also think I read if you get a new watch, you get 3 months of F+. The thing I wonder is how will they do the pricing of the bundles if you only didn't have some things combined with the watch thing. Billing will most likely be weird for the first month or three for some people

I thought the same thing so I got rid of iTunes Match. A month later I wanted to make a CD (yes, my car still uses those) so I picked some songs and downloaded them. I wasn't allowed to burn them to CD because I didn't "own" them, they belonged to Apple Music.

A third of library now belonged to Apple Music. The reason seems to be that I didn't have a device or computer that had the music on them. I had deleted my music on my computer because I needed the space. So Apple Music took ownership of the songs since I didn't seem to own them.

I contacted Apple and I resubscribed to iTunes Match to regain ownership of my music. Thus, I am the edge case that needs both Apple Music and iTunes Match.
That's the thing. When you first subscribe to Apple Music and upload all your own library to iCloud from your computer, you have to download them all again to retain ownership. They should make that more clear. If you upload them and then delete them off your computer, then yes, they are gone because you deleted them. If you wanted to make room on your computer, perhaps a flash drive saving your music would have been a good idea.

I’ll do this is well.
I have the Apple Music family plan, Apple Arcade, and pay $9.99 for iCloud 2TB storage.

I’ll be happy to get Apple News and Apple TV included as well.

I have the family $2.99 200GB plan, Apple TV+, and Apple Music (paid annually-individual). This does not save me any money.

Similar, although I’ll be done with TV+ once the freebie ends.

The 50gb iCloud storage is risible, useless for my 2 iPad + 1 iPhone backup, never mind anything else.

Putting aside the ever present con of $=£, I currently pay £136 for Apple Music + 200gb storage.

I might bite and pay the extra £44 for a years TV+ & Apple Arcade, but I’d have to deal with 150gb less iCloud storage, no thanks.

You can get a bundle and upgrade iCloud separately, which is what I'd have to do.
Do you know how that would work? I currently have 200GB and am considering the individual plan. Could I get that, upgrade to 200GB and then just pay extra for the difference when normally going from 50>200GB?

I hope there's student pricing because I already get Apple Music for $4.99 with TV bundled in, then 200GB of iCloud for $2.99, and Arcade for $4.99. I'm not even interested in paying for News+, but if they included a student option that had me paying less I'd consider it.

It will be interesting to see if Verizon does anything with this new bundle options as they already include Apple Music for some Unlimited plans. Having that makes it difficult to want to sign up for any of these when I know I'm already in a sense paying for Apple Music through Verizon.
Exactly, and I can't find an answer about this anywhere. Disney will take the D+ price off of the D+ Hulu ESPN+ bundle if you get D+ through VZW. Why can't Apple??

So basically, if you want the 2 TB storage, your only bundle option is the $30 one? 🤔 😕

It looks like the target audience is “families”...

if i dump match in favor of apple music is it still the same to add a new CD I have of my own music into the icloud music library?

My point (responding to a different poster who was complaining that iTunes Match was not included) is that Apple Music is included in all three bundles--therefore iTunes Match is also included in all three bundles (by virtue of the fact that Apple includes iTunes Match functionality with Apple Music). Apparently a bunch of people didn't know that Apple Music includes Match.

No you can still pay the additional fee for upgraded storage in addition to the base AppleOne package.

I'm interested, but I'd rather pay for a whole year in one go... I don't like having too many things subtracted from my bank account automatically each month...

In case anyone has asked this before, sorry. I’ve tried to verify but found nothing.

I’m currently in my free Apple TV+ period because I bought an iPad back in late March. If I subscribe to Apple One Family ... will I be paying for Apple TV+ from the very same moment I subscribe? Or will I be elegible for a “discount” until my free period expires?

Does anyone know something about this kind of situation?

Thank you.

OK taking your word on that, but when I first subbed to Apple Music ~5 years ago, my entire iTunes Match library was migrated over automatically. I did not have any of the files on my computer, and all of those tracks remained as "Matched" or "Uploaded" status, DRM-free. The only tracks in my library with "Apple Music" (i.e. DRMed) status are the ones I added to my library from the Apple Music catalog.

But even if you think you need to have physical copies of all your tracks to re-match them, why not just download them all to an external drive, drop iTunes Match and let Apple Music re-match them?

I guess you could argue that's too much hassle, but it's certainly not required to pay for both Apple Music and iTunes Match.
