My Apple TV+ free subscription is due to end only in February 2021, if I sign up to Apple One will they discount Apple TV+ off the Apple One billing?
Same here. I have unique tracks that are uploaded and shared across my devices. Never paid for iTunes Match.
Same, but now I'm suspicious if I've been throwing away twenty bucks a year 😬I don’t want to really mess with it though. Have lots of stuff not in iTunes or Apple Music and too weary of it being screwed up if i canceled iTunes Match.
You could be right. But that was my understanding of what’s different between them.
No, iCloud storage cannot be used for backups of Mac devices (if that's what you mean when you say HD), only iOS devices.Random question:
Now that I have 2TB of iCloud Storage, is there any way I can set up a regular remote backup of my entire HD to it?
Same, but now I'm suspicious if I've been throwing away twenty bucks a year![]()
No. You can literally watch the Music app upload the tracks to Apple Music. I've got some random live recordings, rare b-sides. Stuff that has never been offered on a digital platform. Are those albums available in iTunes?
I would guess that most people’s intent with Premier isn’t just for fitness. Most people are likely already paying close to $29.99 for their existing services and are just getting the rest for free now. I really have no intention of using fitness+. However, I was already paying $30 for arcade, music, and iCloud storage so I essentially got News+ and fitness+ for free.My Apple Music subscription renewed yesterday. Oh well...
Why does the fine print read, "Your existing subscriptions are not eligible for trial"? Seems like Apple should either prorate, or start your One subscription when your existing services expire. But, then they might expire at different times...blah, blah, blah...i think that's why everyone gets a "free" month of Apple One to compensate for the period of overlap. if you REALLY want a truly free month I see little choice but to cancel all your subscriptions to apple services, allow them to expire in the next month and THEN sign up for apple one. there is no period of time you should be double paying for monthly services however since they did get the free month of Apple One to account for that.
The difference is, if I remember right, I looked into it years ago is this. If I have Match and download the tracks you uploaded or matched they will download without DRM. If you download anything with Apple Music you get DRM, whether it was matched or not. Can't remember what happens with unique stuff you uploaded.I don’t want to really mess with it though. Have lots of stuff not in iTunes or Apple Music and too weary of it being screwed up if i canceled iTunes Match.

This is the question i was looking to have answered thus it makes sense to have both apple music and iTunes Match. Someone said in another thread, the only difference is that with Music you get a DRM version of the song and with Match you get a non-DRM version? However if I am reading what you are saying correctly, for music or any audio files that is not in Apple Music, iTunes Match is required for it to upload?Yet it went over your head. It’s included but only if Apple Music has it. Anything unique and not in Apple Music that u upload you need iTunes Match.
Wait, it does? Since when.Apple Music includes iTunes Match.
Fuuuuu.... I am that guy.iTunes Match is included in Apple Music since day 1. If you pay for both Apple Music AND iTunes Match separately Tim Cook will personally send you one of these:

I'm sticking with the Get More Unlimited for a myriad of reasons, but they still offer Apple Music in perpetuity on that plan.I was in a similar situation, and I just decided to switch to one of Verizon's new Unlimited plans. They no longer include Apple Music in perpetuity (only 6 months included) BUT the plans are a little cheaper so, in my case at least, it offset the difference. Your mileage may vary.
Also for those asking about Apple Music versus iTunes Match, I believe the one bonus you get with iTunes Match that is not included in Apple Music is the ability to launder your uploads through the service... in other words you can use your poor quality rips of CDs and it will allow you to download the non-DRM'd high quality versions from iTunes to keep forever.
Do you think if you paid for the full year of Apple Music it will get refunded too?It will be refunded automatically.
Thank you so much for posting this. That was my dilemma as well.I pay for the 2TB tier for iCloud on a separate Apple ID, £6.99 a month. As soon as I signed up to the Premier tier I was asked if I wanted to associate my iCloud storage on that different email/ID with my Premier subscription. I said 'yes' and immediately got a refund via PayPal for my last iCloud sub on 22 Oct!
But you only get that year of free Apple TV+ once. I didn't get another year when I upgrade to a new phone this year.Apple is offering Arcade for 3 months free now, and Apple TV is going to be free if you buy a new apple device, which is a wash. So in the end I pay 10 bucks for 2tb of storage and 10 bucks for music, so now i have to pay 30 for the same and get Fitness, which isnt here yet and apple news plus, which is not that great in my opinion
I love Apple and everything but this seems like a ploy to get people in the ecosystem without offering anything beneficial
If anything they should offer more storage for less money, as storage is key for most of us. They are already charging more for iCloud storage than most competition.
Check Settings > your Apple ID > Media & Purchases > Purchase History.Where do you check on refund status? I prepaid Music for 3 years. Do they email you about the refund?
I can speak from experience that my entire year of Arcade was refunded (about 5 months into it). Not sure if Music will be handled the same way.Do you think if you paid for the full year of Apple Music it will get refunded too?
It didn't work!If I understand your question - yes. This was my exact thing. iTunes on AppleID#1, with all purchases, storage & iTunes Match. Family Apple Music, Arcade & AppleTV+ on AppleID#2. It asked me to reassociate my storage from AppleID#1 to AppleID#2 in the subscription wizard.
