I thought I wasn't going to be interested in this, but for an extra £2 per month I'd get Apple Arcade and Apple TV+ so it's definitely worth considering.

I wish the iCloud offering in the mid tier had been slightly higher. 200GB is probably just about OK for me and my wife, but for the people who have, potentially, 5 family members using the one plan I could see that getting eaten up after no time at all.

I'm going to hold back for a bit as I'm not really all that interested in Apple Arcade (my wife might be, though, I'll have to ask her).

The real sticking point for me is the lack of new AppleTV hardware. Once that's released and I can buy one to use with the OLED TV in my lounge then Apple One will be a no brainer. But until then, even though I've got an AppleTV HD in my kitchen, I'm going to wait it out...

Same, but now I'm suspicious if I've been throwing away twenty bucks a year 😬
I would guess that most people’s intent with Premier isn’t just for fitness. Most people are likely already paying close to $29.99 for their existing services and are just getting the rest for free now. I really have no intention of using fitness+. However, I was already paying $30 for arcade, music, and iCloud storage so I essentially got News+ and fitness+ for free.

im the opposite to you. I want it ONLY for fitness. I’ve no interest in AM as I prefer Spotify. Though not being able to stream music without my phone is annoying. However, I mainly listen to podcasts using overcast when I’m run. Apple TV I get for free anyway. news I’d enjoy. But not arcade and don’t need cloud as I run a private cloud on my nas which syncs with OneDrive

No. You can literally watch the Music app upload the tracks to Apple Music. I've got some random live recordings, rare b-sides. Stuff that has never been offered on a digital platform.
I’m the same. How do you get those tracks upto AM so it downloads to your phone? I didn’t like AM as I couldn’t manually manage my music to put those tracks on my phone

thx

Looks like storage stacks with existing storage.
It also means upgrade from 200 GB to 2 TB will cost the full $9.99. And you’ll have a total of 2.2 TB available
Thanks for the screen shot confirming the ability to stack storage. Very pleased we can finally have more than 2TB of space for photos and videos.

I imagine this is just a bug?

On the plus side, if you were someone who wanted 400 GB of storage, you now have that option by paying only for the extra 200GB as opposed to jumping to 2 TB
Yeah if you’re like me—paying $7 extra for 2 TB because you’re always a smidge over 200GB—this could work well. The main reason we have 2TB is because I’m always hovering around 200GB and don’t feel like micromanaging my storage. So we currently pay ~$25 for Apple Music and 2 TB (for a 2-person household).

So I can switch to Apple One Family and an extra 200GB. Now I’d get what I had before—Apple Music and sufficient storage—plus 2 more services that are pretty good, and save 2 bucks a month.

The difference is, if I remember right, I looked into it years ago is this. If I have Match and download the tracks you uploaded or matched they will download without DRM. If you download anything with Apple Music you get DRM, whether it was matched or not. Can't remember what happens with unique stuff you uploaded.
Hmm.. so essentially with iTunes Match Apple allows for you to upload your non-drm file and download that file as non-drm as well. With Apple Music Apple allows you to upload your non-drm file but when you download it, it gives you a DRM version even if that file is not offered as part of Apple Music. They convert your NON-DRM to DRM and give it back to you unless you pay them not to do that. LOL

Check Settings > your Apple ID > Media & Purchases > Purchase History.

Refunds are listed in here along with charges.

Nope. No refunds for me so far. Athough Apple one shows under pending in purchases. Perhaps it needs to post first.

BEWARE of canceling iTunes Match. Apple Music and iTunes Match use different song catalogs to "match" songs.

I lost HUNDREDS of songs when I canceled iTunes Match after paying for both services for 4 years...
I'm downloading a local copy of my entirely library now, but I'm still figuring out if I want to cancel (Well, I've already cancelled, but I've got until December to change that).

True if on the same Apple id

i got a free one last year for my work phone and a free one this month as wife bought a new phone

work account isn’t linked at all so have 2 free years :)

Bundle seems like it would fit my family. But currently my wife is the one who subscribed to Apple TV+ and our daughter is subscribed to Apple Arcade.

how do I get this all bundled under me as the owner of our current family sharing?

For any of you who opted into Apple one. Make sure you expire your iCloud storage. I was paying for 2tb plan at 9.99 enrolled in Apple one it gave me 4tb and my separate 2tb plan was going to renew separate. I can see a lot of people missing this.

I scrolled through my purchase history and one of my $99 Music purchases I made last year shows as refunded. You have to scroll through each transaction to see what's been refunded.

Good luck. Had to go to my sons iPad and cancel arcade manually. He’s part of my family plan. It should’ve vanished automatically and refunded but doubt I’ll see a refund either.

I don't use any of those services and I don't intend to, I see no reason to. I find most of them waste of money. The only one worth is Apple Music if you're so kin to it, but other than that, Spotify is much better for me, and way cheaper where I live.

Mine says start free trial, but then says existing subscriptions not eligible for trial. So basically I’m not getting a free trial on a cost basis, just news+, as fitness isn’t out yet (and I’m eligible for 3 months free because of the watch) and my tv+ doesn’t expire until feb. I think I’m better off waiting until February as I’m only paying for music and 2tb iCloud right now.
I think I'm in the same boat. My storage just renewed and my Apple TV+ trial goes into Feb as well - if they launch Fitness+ soon I'll basically be able to time everything except the storage to expire right around the second week of Feb.

They really should have thought of a way to pro-rate this for existing customers, as it's going to slow down adoption rate considerably since people already have purchases ongoing. I'd love to consolidate my various services into a single payment and get the discount for bundling, but right now, it'd cost me more money than I'd save.
