I was just able to upgrade to 400 GB again and I couldn’t wait and wanted to get the 19€ for Apple One back. Lol.

Mine literally just renewed - no problems here in the UK :)

here in the UK and I have experienced some issues...

Apple Music subscription was billed yesterday, then today AppleOne which immediately got credited back... and then another AppleOne subscription came out again.

so far been overcharged for Apple Music... waiting to see if this now gets refunded.

They should just give all new signups a 30 day trial for the whole service with the caveat you won’t be able to get any other free trial for new users in the future, similar to how it is now.

Any subscriptions already part of your plan will be credit as extra days should you ever cancel your subscriptions. So if I paid for Apple Music monthly at $9.99 yesterday, sign up for a trial and cancel after 30 days, I will still have 29 or 30 days left to enjoy Apple Music, and if I renew my subscription, it will pick back up like nothing happened.

This company is a total and absolute mess.
It's all money money money with them as of 8 years ago.
That's when the bs started.
Most people thought this mess with Apple had reached its max with the release of the Mac Book Pro back in 2016 and especially when they then keep re-releasing it almost unchanged year after year.
Remember that stupid silicone pad around the keys...wow...LOL!!!!!!!!!! That's a fixer.
But oh no...much more has been going on since then and it looks like it's nowhere close to being over.

These kind of problems have plagued Apple for years now and it’s seemingly getting worse. Missing photo messages, missing emails, iCloud saying it’s synced when it’s not, AppleTV menu oddities, a photo of the day widget that you can’t customize, and the list of problems that stem from not being able to merge Apple id’s are all cause for concern. Any number of the above problems may have driven you mad over the last few years, and I wouldn’t blame you. It’s all the more upsetting when you realize for most of us Apple is so great at so many things. How can a company that’s so good at most things be so bad at a few essential things?

I intend to get Apple one, but I didn’t sign up on day one because I knew there’d be all sorts of problems like this. What bothers me more is that the wonderful (sincerely) technicians and customer service people are never provided any actual helpful info to give us the consumer. Too often there simply is no answer, and it’s not their fault, it’s not our fault for asking either, it’s just the Apple we have. I hope someday we get the Apple we deserve.

All that worry for nothing, it seems. My renewal just processed and all is back to normal. I hope you all have the same outcome.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled grousing about how Apple ain’t what it used to be.

Today marks one month since the launch of Apple One, which allows customers to subscribe to multiple Apple services in a single bundle, and it appears there are some billing-related issues as the free trial period begins to elapse.

Apple-One-Apps-Feature-2.jpg

Apple One includes a 30-day free trial for any services that customers did not already subscribe to individually, and that trial period ends today for those who signed up for Apple One on its first day of availability. Following the end of the trial period, however, some customers are seeing their Apple One subscription listed as expired and/or have been billed individually for services like Apple TV+ and Apple Music that should be rolled into Apple One.

All in all, there are clearly some hiccups going on as Apple One converts from a trial to a standard subscription, so hopefully Apple is able to sort out the issues soon.

Apple One allows customers to save money by bundling services together with one unified bill. At the low end, the Individual tier offers savings of $6 per month, while the Family plan offers a savings of over $8 per month, and the Premier plan offers a savings of over $25 per month, compared to standard monthly pricing.
There are three tiers of Apple One available:
  • Individual: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage for $14.95 per month
  • Family: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 200GB of iCloud storage for $19.95 per month, can be shared among up to six family members
  • Premier: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+, and 2TB of iCloud storage for $29.95 per month, can be shared among up to six family members
Curently, the Premier tier is limited to the United States, Australia, Canada, and the UK, as these are the only countries where Apple News+ is available. Premier will also include access to Apple's new workout service Fitness+, which launches later this year.

#metoo - billed for Apple Music then One.
they had ALL this time to QA it. What were they doing? Worrying about shoving social justice and Rap Life down our throats.

My issue is backwards - my Apple One sub is fine (shows Dec 30 as my next renewal) and was charged appropriately, but my iCloud was downgraded, and I had to re-subscribe to iCloud storage (2 tb) again and was charged, when I was just charged 10 days ago for it. Anyone else have this issue?

I just wasted 40 minutes with apple support
Good luck. You’ll need it.

How many people are using the Apple Card? (USA)
I have a case opened and would be happy to connect others if this blows up further.
I am reaching out to the managing director next week to put some top down pressure if necessary.

A lot of people didn't read that the One trial was only for services you were not subbing already. You had to manually cancel your running subscriptions beforehand!
Not true. When I signed up it said that I didn’t have to cancel anything, and that the currently services would roll up into Apple One. They did.

This was the line (the one you quoted), and my experience - which I took SCREENSHOTS of.
And was careful to only cancel 2TB storage, which was redundant and renewed many days before end of month.
Wish the FTC had a sack of balls with Apple. But they don’t.

But you didn’t have to cancel music or tv. They rolled up fine.

I was just billed for my 2TB iCloud plan. then today in the middle of the day all of our devices started giving we're out of iCloud space errors as we had been reverted across the board to the 5 gb plan.

Agile if Fragile

(and yes I had upgraded to the Apple One Plan including 2 TB)

They DID NOT roll up fine.
That’s the epic shootstorm I’m dealing with today.
and listening to Apple “explain me” some retarded explanation of what is what.

Mine renewed, then got refunded; briefly expired, and then was renewed again—and has stayed renewed since then, so Apple must’ve patched it behind the scenes.

Considering how many people have this issue and the problems it’s causing with duplicate charges or not being able to use services people actually paid for I’m shocked it has been almost 24 hours and still no fix in sight.

I had an expired message and the £29.99 refunded. So subscribed again. All have been bundled now but have still had £14.99 come out for this months Apple Music. It says in my purchases it has been refunded. But it hasn’t. What a mess.

Apple One seems to sometimes have some issues when it has to switch from an existing subscription.
I had Apple Music for year, and took the Apple One Subscription when it got available in Germany.
Since then my Apple Music Sub said s.th. like "Available until Nov. 30th 2020, then automatically moved into Apple One from Nov. 30th 2020. Until today (Nov. 30th) I was using it like always. No problems.
Until today, like said.
I can use all other subs in Apple One, like TV+, Arcade and the extra iCloud storage is available. But I can't access Apple Music any more. It says I have no subscription and I have to subscribe. But I have Apple One. -> ?

So I was on a call with Apple Support.
1st guy, friendly, tried to help- but couldn't due to restrictions in access to subscriptions, had to move me to an iTunes Adviser.
iTunes Adviser seemed like not caring at all and said I should wait until tomorrow and try again. Call lasted about a minute. Didn't look into it, didn't care.

Any one else finding this a bad experience? If this isn't some random problem, then Apple's User Satisfaction Score is going to drop if everyone who changed the subscription can't use it any more,- even for 1 day.

I don't know if this is related to it, but my music library is also gone. Totally empty.
Don't know if that feature is related to the Apple Music subscription, but I get flashbacks to when the iTunes library got wiped back on one of the iOS updates 6 years (or so) ago.
I know, I know, it's just a day, and I will use other music until then. But this shouldn't even happen in the first place.
If it doesn't work until then, I will unsubscribe and subscribe Apple One again, and see if this will behave differently when there is no other subscription.

Update:
After 1 day it actually works again, so it seems. I just have to download all my music again because the local library got removed, but my playlists, favs etc are back, so it's okay-ish.

And I got refunds on my last payment for iCloud Storage + Apple Music.
