One more thing... pre-release

I enjoy these Mac forums! Definitely an insight of Apple's customers anticipation. I am looking forward to for those who have seen it, the new Weather widget. It is more streamlined and hugs the boarder more 1px instead of 2px. Tighter and smoother coding bravo Apple, though fingers crossed this will be available public soon. Attention Apple fans who think different. Think, Accounting (coming soon)! P.S. For legal matters this could all just be speculation eh! lol :D

Cheers,
JW

Maybe it's one of their famous double entendre's? One more thing from the PowerPC line to knock your socks off before we transition to intel?

i don't care that you've edited your message...this SHOULD be what happens. the world would make sense...indeed...would be a better place if this were to occur.

Wouldn't we first need Paul and Ringo to stop being so pissy and release their catalog on iTMS? Maybe then a Beatles iPod. I would expect it those shoulders deals the guys are wearing on the Sgt. Peppers cover :p

Actually neither owns The Beatles' Catalog. Michael Jackson does.

Bump for a Beatles iPod. Especially with the cover of Sgt. Peppers on it. Ohhh Yeah.... By the way, .... Beatles iPod is an amazing idea. THanks. Much better than a crappy U2 ipod, we want a real rock band.

Shouldn't a "real" rock band's music actually rock?

I vote for the Rob Zombie iPod. The zombiPod.
:D

Dual Core Dual G5 Power Macs BABY!!!!!!

Dual Dual 2.4GHz
Dual Dual 2.6GHz
Dual Dual 3.0GHz <---- Why else have a special invite that says "One More Thing"?

Along with a price drop of the displays to:
20" $599
23" $999
30" $2499
-and-
re-intro of the 17" for $399

I'm not too big on the Video iPod coming out just yet. But I'll be proven wrong like always :)

I hope you are right!

I'm hoping for the fabled video iPod. I still have my 3rd Gen iPod mainly because I prefer it's design, scroll wheel vs click wheel.

I'd like to see the video iPod with the scroll wheel.

I was reading this earlier, and thought to myself it was a little weird, especially with all the iPod video rumors swirling. If Hollywood does indeed plan to launch online movie downloading before the end of the year, who better to partner up with than Apple? They've already proven their prowess with hardware/software integration with iPod/iTunes so I think it's a natural fit. The only thing I'm skeptical on is the penetration of broadband, so it might initially be limited to shorter content. Apple has never been shy in pioneering the industry however; and leaving persons not at the forefront of technology behind (i.e floppy, usb, 802.11). I'm excited :D

I'd love to see new Powerbooks then, but I've got a bet on, that the new iPods will be announced within 2 weeks of today!

I can always have both :p

I saw this article about an hour ago (I think)...but yes, it appears to be down now. In summary, new video iPod thinner than current models, nano-sized click wheel with larger screen extending further down the face of the iPod.

Edit: Link is working now...

Double Edit: Link now pulling up a blank page in Safari...here's the text to make everyone's life easier.
Apple planning launch of video iPod

Apple Computer has begun production of a new version of its iPod digital music player that will be capable of playing videos, AppleInsider has learned.

Reliable sources believe the iPod could be introduced as early as next week, possibly around the time Apple releases results from its fourth fiscal quarter of 2005.

Although details are scarce, sources who claim to have seen the new iPod describe it as being similar to Apple's 60GB iPod photo player, but several millimeters thinner.

The device reportedly sports a smaller click-wheel akin to that of the iPod nano's, making way for a larger, higher-resolution color display that extends further down the face of the device.

The release of the iPod video is expected to be accompanied by a "major update" to Apple's iTunes music store that will include a significant number of music videos and other short video content.

Apple, which had been updating the "Music Video" segment of its iTunes download service on a regular basis, stopped posting new music video content last month, leading to speculation that a major content update was brewing.

Sources have also recently reported sightings of a new Apple wireless device, which is similar to Apple's AirPort Express wireless base station, but also includes a video out option. However, it's unclear if the long-rumored device will coincide with the introduction of a video capable iPod.

Apple recently introduced an ultra-thin version of its iPod called the iPod nano. According to well-placed sources, the company has modeled to sell 3 million of the players each month during the holiday shopping season.
