256GB has been ample enough for me in the past - I dont think I've gone over 50%.

So I ordered the 512GB this time.
Yes, I'm that sucker that always says 'Just In Case'....... 🤦

This "Apple shtick" is getting old. Building a suspense like it's some kind of a life changing event. It's a damn electronics stuff, get over yourself.
No one cares about this stuff anymore. With all the people rushing to get their order in online so they get their new iPhones delivered on day one, it's just not worth the hassle.

So, let me see if this scenerio is correct, iphone, you originally thought 128GbB was enough but you opted for the 256GB for 'just in case' purposes. Through out the durtion of using the 256GB iphone you've come to realise that 256GB was actually way to much because you've never gone over 50% of memory usage. Now your looking to upgrade, your faced with the same decision, do i go for the 256GB version or the 'just in case' 512GB version, knowing full well that 256GB was more than ample for your needs but you decided to opt for the 'just in case' 512Gb version.

Yep you are 'that' sucker 😂

I have never taken part in a Apple store pre-order before, usually a mobile network carrier. On average, how quick is it before the delivery dates start to slip past the release date?

It's a status things, always has and always will. Not for everyone but for the majority, it's so they can show it off, it's attention seeking in my opinion.

This, my friend, is correct.
I fall for it every time.

get ready for the abundance of threads made :):

'My order didn't go through'

'order went through but didn't get confirmation'

'I ordered wrong type, how do I change?'

'price seems wrong, anyone else getting this?'

'getting errors, anyone else getting this?'

'I got this iphone, anyone else get it?'

'delivery is x days, seems wrong, anyone else getting this?'

'I am overjoyed, anyone else the same?'

'the app keeps crashing, anyone else getting this'

'Order successful, anyone else successful'

I am sure i have missed out many others 😀
You got them well covered 😂

A few minutes.
I believe last year it was at the 8 minutes past mark......

Enjoy everyone, especially @TheYayAreaLiving! Taking the rest of the day off from Apple and MR.

Hope everyone gets what they want. End of next month upgrade for me, that's when I can trade in my 11PM and my GF's XS Max towards two new 13PMs without owing anything on the 11PM.

I can’t find a thread for pre-order on AT&T website…but I just got this…should I worry that they will cancel my order later?

Yet the iPhone deliveries will slip within a few minutes. So somebody cares.

To everyone who thinks release date shipping won’t slip within the first half hour of release? Dream on.

yes, demand will likely be down, MAYBE. But to those of us who want RELEASE DATE DELIVERY then it is a bit of a gold rush right now as the fastest will prevail while the just a bit too slow will get a delivery date on 9/27. And then beyond that even.

Many of us just can’t wait. I sized up to the 12 Pro from the 8 and it was a mistake. Going down to 13 mini. All was essentially free, thanks to T-Mobile offers.

I will be shocked if they sell out of the phones. Didn’t seem like the keynote sparked much interest for anyone other than those still rocking older models. Then again, with the chip shortage drama, they may not have many phones lol

More money then sense. Might as well went with the 1TB model while at it.

Honestly asking, why do you want release date delivery for a 13 mini from 12 Pro?

Fragile hands. I need a smaller less heavy phone. I didn’t know this before going into the 12 Pro. I had never had a large iPhone before, largest ever was iPhone 8. The form factor of the 12 Pro has been a bit of a nightmare this past year. Despite my average-large hands.

The tradein price on the 12 Pro makes it free, +$200 extra credit means I get paid to make the upgrade.

Looking forward to order iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB Sierra Blue - still not sure if I should get 512GB for the ProRes, I know it won't be out till 15 iOS update, I assume?.

Good luck to all of you ladies and gentlemen.
I think 256GB is the min. threshold for the ProRes so you'd still be good, but if you plan to use it a lot then yeah maybe get the bump!

To be honest, I see nothing that makes me want to upgrade but then I have a 12 Pro. Personally I find the Mac Mini one of the most compelling Apple devices at the moment so I'm more excited to see what they do with that. I certainly don't see an iPhone upgrade in my future for the next few years.

Apple's online store is down ahead of iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max pre-orders, which are set to begin at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time in the United States.

apple-store-down-16x9.jpg

"You're... early," reads the Apple Store message when attempting to visit the U.S. website. "Pre-order begins at 5:00 a.m. PDT. Enjoy the extra sleep." Apple used to do new device pre-orders at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time, but since 2019, has been holding iPhone pre-orders at 5:00 a.m.

The ‌iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13,‌ iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max are launching in more than 30 countries and regions around the world, and a full list of launch times can be found in our time zone guide.

All of the new iPhone 13 models are nearly identical in design to last year's iPhone 12 models, featuring flat edges, an aerospace-grade aluminum enclosure, a glass back, and a slight increase in thickness.

Key features across the iPhone 13 lineup include a faster A15 Bionic chip, camera improvements, longer battery life, and a smaller notch. The two Pro models also feature a ProMotion display with a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz. The iPhone 13 models are available in Pink, Blue, Midnight (black), Starlight (silver/gold), and (PRODUCT)RED.

If you're hoping to get one of the models in the ‌new iPhone 13 lineup on launch day, it's a good idea to purchase early because there's no word on how much supply Apple will have.

Pricing on the iPhone 13 mini starts at $699, while pricing on the iPhone 13 starts at $799, the iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max begins at $1099. The official launch, when pre-orders will be out for delivery, is next Friday, September 24.
