Seriously aren't the canvases already ridiculously huge
It's not just about the resolution of the canvas, it's about the number of layers as well...

for example let's say a 4k * 4k canvas supports 20 layers on current iPads, a faster one could support 30 layers... etc

A local restaurant said they closed for a few day for "renovations", later we found out ICE picked up a few persons of interest.
Maybe ICE picked up a few technicians and Mr. Cook too? We'll find out later.

The last few "events" have been complete snore-fests. Apple would be wise to forego events for product refreshes and keep them for new, innovative products that people can actually applaude without being forced to.

I agree - they don't need an event to announce newer iPads or even updated macs at this time.

If they are silent updates with a press release they won't be massively interesting as not much will change but considering that I'm thinking about getting a 12" MacBook for around the house and travelling it would be great if they were to spec bump the 12" MacBook tomorrow :)
Yeah that's my main interest for tomorrow, especially with the processor renaming situation and colors, etc. Although there's always the possibility of other Mac refreshes or other surprises. I think there will be the 128GB SE option, and iPads are a bit of a mystery in terms of announcement dates. But this could mean nothing and there could be an event, which is what I'm hoping for.

  • addition of a 128GB iPhone SE
  • 3GB RAM for 9.7 iPad Pro
  • Quiet removal of the 13" MBA
that's all I got. :)
I think the first ones right, the second one is unlikely to be the only change and won't happen independently, and the third one won't happen until later this year or beyond.

While I hope for substantially new Macs, quiet releases like this tend to be minor bumps. Apple usually has big presentations for major changes. Adding TB3 to non-MB Macs, IMO, would be a big enough change to warrant a presentation.

Other people have commented on possibly getting rid of the MBA, Mac mini & Mac Pro. Very possible, however unfortunate.

Everyone keeps saying the iPad Pro will be updated - but what if it isn't? What if, rather than updating, Apple simply cuts the price?

Moving to that system - iPad Mini and Air 2 being cheapest, Pros coming at mid range and high end, Apple squeezes two years out of each design. Release at higher price, price cut a year in, update 9-12 months later. As the iPad's profits are a small fraction for Apple, it's not exactly a stretch to think that they'd take that approach.

I'd say, at best, we'll see new watch bands, a 32/128 option for the SE, and price drops on iPads. I don't expect a10x upgrades, boosted RAM in iPads, the 10.5" model that there's been zero evidence of.

It would also explain the new identifiers - four iPads for the four current models, re-released for 2017.

Don't forget the A10x processor.
I know we all want the new iPad but there is no way Apple is going to just update the website with radical new iPad changes. I think it'll be MacBook Refreshes considering any low end iPad they can just announce with the new 10.5inch iPad.
[doublepost=1490031738][/doublepost]Apple Car anyone ?

How long has it been since they brought down the whole store for maintenance? Anyone remember? It used to happen quite regularly, but not recently. I just assumed that they've got cleverer with failover.

The new Mac book Pro announcement like 5 months ago. Expect a new Mac tommrow but iPads will be in there own event since there unvileing a entirely new one

Seriously, I think it's going to be the season's new watch band lineup. It's an annual thing and given the AW3 isn't due till late 2017, this will help spur watch sales.

If a 10.5 requires an press event, then so does explaining the rest of the iPad lineup. It makes sense to clarify the hierarchy if they discontinue the Air 2.

If anything is speed-bumped, it's the recently announced MBP's. Maybe Kaby Lake and 32gb RAM option..Same price...but ideally a $100 less. That might alleviate some of the hate it's received since it's launch.
