Guys this is my first year on the IUP program..

Is it customary to be charged twice in the same month of the release? Like I don't even have the new iPhone yet, but the loan kicked in, and made my first payment. Meanwhile I had to make a payment for the iPhone I am trading in.... all withing a day of each other ?? does this make sense? with ATT Next it was not like this.

Edit: I just did the calculation for the trade in iPhone, and in including this last payment, thats 13 payments.

My order (placed only yesterday) is due Oct. 14-21. Sure wouldn't mind seeing that date bumped up. Sooner = Better. :) I ordered the 11 Pro Max, Dark Green, 256GB.

I’ve been on iUp since it’s inception and this is the first year that I’ve also had 2 loan payments. I called Citizen to inquire about this and what they said is that the previous loan was still active because the upgrade wasn’t complete. And they told me that once I trade in the phone, the payment would be automatically refunded. Not sure what the rep said was accurate but she’s pretty insistent on it. So I’ll take her word for it.

Just saw that this thread exists, should probably post here now.

Mine was originally 9/27-10/1 now saying 9/30 even though its in Hong Kong now. Anyone else in the same boat? Is it really going to take until Monday to get here?

Mine even though of the range 9/27 to 10/1 has been 9/26 estimate since our packages shipped. Given that our packages are in Hong Kong and likely going to Anchorage in next 8-9 hours -- if UPS planes that are there---earlier if something else we have not figured out.... I am guessing it will be sometime this week, probably in later part. I am guessing if we assume the UPS flights mentioned that arrive early afternoon tomorrow that our phones will be shipping later tomorrow to Louisville and then moving to our locations early Wednesday. So I am thinking Wednesday at earliest bu more likely we will see them on Thursday the 26th as many of us have for estimate.

Yesterday mine was showing the exception message from UPS, at some point today it showed that it had arrived in HK (Chek Lap Kok) but it seems to have never left. I realize tracking is often delayed but anyone else have a similar UPS tracking sitting in Chek?

The way it is supposed to work @PatrickBoland and @jaziCo
As soon as you place your NEW upgrade order, your OLD/current iUP loan with Citizens is placed on hold.
All current loan payments are stopped and you are charged two new (separate) transactions: sales tax (if applicable) and your first NEW monthly payment sometime before your new phone ships.

My 11 Pro Max was charged ~2 days prior to arrival (delivered on launch day)
My 11 Pro (currently in Chek Lap Kok) was charged (sales tax and 1st Payment Fri 9/20), arrival looks to be Thursday 9/26 if all continues per plan.

If you don't see the large red banner (LOAN STATUS: ON HOLD) when you sign into your Citizens account, something is not right.

What you could be seeing, is your NEW payment being taken out for your new phone loan.
I know my payment stayed exactly the same, as I chose the same level of phone Xs Max/11 Pro Max and Xs/11 Pro. Reminder, you need to manually add the new loan to your account each year. Full loan#, last 4, zip code.

Mine is there as well. I would think Friday at the latest since you can order some of the iPhone 11’s and get them on 9/27 still. But I could be wrong if Apple already has stock state side.

Yes, several of us here have confirmed a similar travel time & path.
Mine should be on the next UPS flight to the US in 7-8 hours.
I'm hoping for this one: UPS Flight 63

That is odd. Thank you for the explanation and that’s how I thought it worked. But upon checking my Citizen One loan account, I do have a On Hold status on my loan. But yet I was charged a payment on 09/21, which happens to be the same exact day I got charged for my new loan for iPhone 11 Pro. Never happened in previous years so I don’t know what to think.

I am curious; is everyone that's "watching" 1. ordered at Presale on Sept. 13 and 2. ordered a 11 Pro?

Did the 11s arrive on the 20th? Has Apple said anything about this?

I did and was expecting delivery on Sept 20, not shipping on Sept 20.

Strange situation. I was charged a 13th payment PLUS the first charge of the new phone. Is this right?

Just got off the call with citizen once again. And they stated that in my particular case, my phone was shipped on the 21st, and the hold was placed on the 21st. However, the payment had already processed. Hence the 13th payment. What the representative stated to me is that when I turn in my phone, I would be credited half the amount of the loan and the extra payment would automatically be refunded to the credit card.

I ordered an iUP AT&T 11 Pro 256GB Space Grey, ~4 min after launch opening on 9/13. Originally said delivery for 9/20 during checkout process, then slipped to 9/27-10/1 once I got the order email.

My similar 11 Pro Max, 256GB (ordered 1 minute earlier, arrived 9/20)

No that is not right. Provided you placed your upgrade order before your next payment was due, that 13th payment should have been stopped due to the hold.

I placed the order on the 13th of Sept......

The 13th payment was charged on the 21st of Sept.

And the person I just spoke with at Citizen One has no clue or idea about any of this, whatsoever.

Update: Spoke to the rep’s supervisor who confirmed once Apple gets their act together, the payment should be refunded.

I ordered 3 iPhone 11’s one red and 2 purple. Red was delivered the 20th and the two purples slipped to a 9/27-10/1 date.

I'd try calling back during normal business hours - hoping to get a manager (or more experienced Citizen's rep) to look into it. Take notes, when/who you talked to, get a case # opened, employee name and/or employee number, I even go as far as recording the call (for quality assurance purposes of course ;)

If you don't get that 13th payment refunded like you should.
Open a case with Apple, using all of your above notes from tomorrows Citizen's call.

Gm Apple squad! My first post this iPhone cycle, as I’ve been enjoying all the convo this year as I do every year. Wanna give a shout out to all the people finding out about IUP and calling UPS and Apple with all these questionable issues. I woke up this morning and still no movement... still in CLK. You all think Thursday is a possibility still? Hope so. Side comment. I’ve also ordered the clear case from Apple on the 15th and it’s suppose to deliver on the 27th-2nd.. and it’s still in processing hell... do those cases come from China too? Or it’s stateside and chillin?

Do you guys know if I have to be home to accept the package? Can I leave it at my leasing office? What happens if I'm not there when they deliver it?

Edit: There's a flight from Hong Kong to Anchorage at 7:51 pm HKT (7:51 am EST), saying it will arrive in Anchorage at 1:05 AKDT (6:05 pm EST) and then a flight from Anchorage to Louisville at 3:26 pm AKDT (8:26 pm EST). Is it possible for them to put our phones onto a new plane in 2 1/2 hours?

Mine is showing as having arrived at Chek Lap Kok as well, the UPS app shows tentative deliver Sep 26 still. Now, that status was Sep 24 7:32 AM local time, and this is the latest update. Right now as I type this (6:40 AM Sep 24 EDT), it is 6:40 PM Sep 24 in Chek Lap Kok. So the update is a little over 11 hours old! This shi[pment that many of our phones are on could be well on its way to the US or even arrived in the US by now, we'll have to wai for the next update.
