Mine is showing as having arrived at Chek Lap Kok as well, the UPS app shows tentative deliver Sep 26 still. Now, that status was Sep 24 7:32 AM local time, and this is the latest update. Right now as I type this (6:40 AM Sep 24 EDT), it is 6:40 PM Sep 24 in Chek Lap Kok. So the update is a little over 11 hours old! This shi[pment that many of our phones are on could be well on its way to the US or even arrived in the US by now, we'll have to wai for the next update.
UPS does open in the United States at 9am; I don't really know how packages work, but maybe they will put an update when they open? I'm not sure :p

Do you guys know if I have to be home to accept the package? Can I leave it at my leasing office? What happens if I'm not there when they deliver it?

Edit: There's a flight from Hong Kong to Anchorage at 7:51 pm HKT (7:51 am EST), saying it will arrive in Anchorage at 1:05 AKDT (6:05 pm EST) and then a flight from Anchorage to Louisville at 3:26 pm AKDT (8:26 pm EST). Is it possible for them to put our phones onto a new plane in 2 1/2 hours?
Normally I put a note on the door to send to leasing office. But I’ve signed up for ups to automatically send it to the office too. So no worries.

UPDATE: Well no departure scan for UPS63 and its 8 minutes into flight. But I sometimes dont see scans of last departures from China. Sometimes it shows at Anchorage, sometimes nothing more until Louisville and they break up pallets. We shall see there is UPS59 yet as well.

Apple site is saying Wed Oct 2. Haven’t received the shipping email yet. Hoping it moves up some but not to a Saturday since I have it delivering to work.

anyway I wanted to reply about how much good writing a letter to Apple HQ will do. I predict absolutely none. They probably sit around and laugh at those. I would. Sorry.
Once I got a $1200 credit from Time Warner cable with a well written letter.

and 11 years ago I got a dressing down from a regional manager when I worked at the Genius Bar because someone wrote a letter to Steve Jobs upset about expectations not being met... (for the record, that one was not my fault and my case notes demonstrated that)

my point is, you’d be amazed. Believe me, don’t believe me, do whatever you want.

I just don’t see the purpose for it (1) being sent to Hong Kong and (2) It sitting there for roughly 12 hours without updates. I wish Apple would get their head out of their arses.

Our phones have been sitting at the same place for 12 hours... this is BS!
When you wake up to see that your shipment has been sitting motionless in Hong Kong for the past 12 hours

Don't fret over the tracking info. My wife's phone was in the first batch and it went from an arrival acan in ZZ to an arrival scan in Louisville. It sat on the ZZ scan for nearly three days, but arrived right when it should have.

Yes I agree. My experience has seen this time and time again when apple has big shipments. This is undoubtedly another big shipment, although not as big as the rush before opening day. When they break the pallets up at Louisville UPS hub all the tracking finally updates. If I am getting a single thing at random times in year tracking is usually better for the whole route, but with big pallets like I am guessing we are on the scans often do not translate to specific info for each tracking number. I wish it would but it does not and it leads to the frustration here for us apple enthusiasts. It is not apples fault at this point just the nature of big shipments and limits of scanning tech.

Especially since UPS has been using chartered flights this year. The tracking is all messed up, but it sorts itself out once it makes it to the States.

It won't update till it gets to Louisville? Not anchorage? :(

Update: I just got a call from the delivering person saying my phone is being delivered today. I live in Virginia.

Yes that has been problem, and seemed to be the issue with miss coding customs info that left us stranded for 36 hours in ZhengZhou. Now that two UPS planes have left in past hour from Hong Kong (see below) I wonder if we might see any updates when they arrive in Anchorage this afternoon around 3 and 4 PM CDT (my area in Midwest)

But it may end up in the rush that they remained with charters to Louisville or even in these UPS flights we will not see updates given all the issues til Louisville late tonight.

It may not. Sometimes we see updates there and othertimes the plane may just go on after a refuel to Louisville with no data until they break apart the iphone pallets and our individual phones get routed and tracked. Thats the problem with these big bulk “preorders” over the first several weeks of new iphone releases. I used to be as frustrated as some of you but have learned to live with the uncertainty ;-)

Ok I was looking at the two UPS flights that left Hong Kong in past hour or so. One UPS59 gets to Anchorage and then goes a bit later to Ontario.

UPS63 may be our plane it goes to Louisville after a time in Anchorage. So that flight may be one to watch and either there will be updates in Anchorage or when it gets to Louisville (or both). We shall see but this is the joy, and agony of doing this LOL

Anyway under upcoming flights below I see it is to arrive in Louisville at midnight my time in Illinois or 1 AM Tomorrow EDT

Was your phone also in Hong Kong yesterday? And are you sure it's your phone being delivered? I'm also getting a delivery from Apple today, and got excited for a second until I realized it's just the box for me to send in my trade-in 😭

I got a notification that my return box is being delivered today, but not my actual phone. It was momentarily exciting, until it was not.

But we just NEEEEED a tiny shred of information! To keep us going! Just a small scan. Please, UPS? I promise to focus on work all day if you just send me a sign. 😇

When was yours scheduled to be delivered? Did it show yours in Hong Kong last night?!
Haha mine is in Hong Kong too, I really hope I get it this week, before the weekend!
^ he said it was there last night

Curious if that actually comes today though - UPS calls you? Are you sure that's not your return box? That's coming today for me...

1000 times this. Just because there hasn't been a scan doesn't mean they're sitting in Hong Kong. For all we know updating several thousand tracking numbers at once is stressing out the system. Or perhaps they're all being routed to local hubs direct from HK and the unique nature of all this isn't really being parsed correctly. It's likely all well and good on the backend but the customer facing frontend doesn't know what to make of it.

We've actually seen this - the difference from when you track by reference and track by tracking number. It looks like they sort of kind of tried to put some customer-facing info but it's not great. If stuff doesn't show up thursday then we can get all antsy.

Yeah, that’s my biggest concern. Some of us need a specific date when the package will get delivered so we can make ourselves available for signature. Unfortunately, their disorganized nature is making requesting the necessary time off impossible. I ordered a dog tag from China last Monday and I got it on Saturday. I don’t get why this is so difficult.
