I’m not very optimistic with this prediction, but maybe most of us will have our phones tomorrow. If UPS59 and UPS63 are carrying our phones to Anchorage right now, they might be scheduled to fly in to Louisville tonight (UPS has 6 different flights scheduled from Anchorage to Louisville tonight, and are expected to land between 1am and 2am Wednesday morning). If they can move quick enough, a lot of our local UPS distribution centers might have them tomorrow morning before the trucks go out to deliver.
Like I said, you’d have to be very optimistic to believe that, but maybe
How do you track planes? Thats pretty cool. Those planes leaving Louisville would have to be revving their engines waiting to load up as soon as the Anchorage planes land, then get on it for regional delivery. But I imagine thats how they get a rep for quick delivery. I'm sure Apple pushes em pretty hard to git 'er done and get those things in the hands of eager customers.

Well I canceled the delivery release for this so now it says signature is required. I still also have options on Thursday to move to different day or hold depending on my family obligations. I think this was hold over from another year not sure why apple left them signature free or if that was just UPS data. But feel better not having it left on porch.

Went to apple store friday. Bought phone on friday at 1200$ or what ever it was.

Returned saturday, returned phone. Asked if I could get on IUP, they said sure. Got phone on IUP. All on saturday.

Just texted apple dudes since i'm state side. They said they can initiate return. So I agreed to it. We'll see what happens. Eitherway, I have a phone on IUP right now and i'm happy.

did you buy the same phone on iUP? and was it sim free?

FlightAware. There’s an iPhone app, but their website will show more scheduled departures/arrivals. It’s a fascinating website, even when you’re not tracking an iPhone haha
Fun fact - at my old apartment I was on the top floor and I used to feed data to flightaware. My antenna was just over the roofline and I could get aircraft from maine to DC from NYC. That was a fun time.

In any event - I'd actually be fairly surprised if these were aboard a UPS aircraft. It seems like there is some special charter arrangement.

I'm pretty sure several of us are hoping this is the reason there hasn't been an update on tracking for so long

I'm in the 10/1 - 10/4 group and just got shipping info. Scheduled to arrive on Monday 9/30.

Left China today on 9/24. I thought I read somewhere people thought it was 4 days from start to finish so maybe they arrive early?

Well yeah, I'd assume it's a charter based on:

>Apple volume at origin pending departure on Charter Aircraft as scheduled.

Yes that was from ZhengZhou on Charter to Hong Kong. After that we have no idea if the lack of updates is just scan issues with big shipment and they left on the UPS63 that goes to Anchorage and then Louisville where UPS hub is at, or if they stayed with special charters. They seemed to have problems getting them out of ZhengZhou but after that a bit unclear for me at least. Given it looks like 9/26 I am betting we will get UPS Louisville updates however they got there.

Yeah, but then it moved from China to Hong Kong. It could be that the flight from China to Hong Kong was the only charter aircraft used.

Thats what I see in the data as lacking as it is...

United Parcel Service 63
UPS63 / 5X63
Upgrade account to see tail number
EN ROUTE AND ON TIME
Arriving in 2 hours 35 minutes

This one that later goes to Louiville arriving late tonight. We "might" see updates in Anchorage or we might not, may not see anything til they get to Louisville Hub

Yeah, I’m guessing our phones are only on UPS63, and they’re just stopping in Alaska to refuel. If it were to fly directly from HK to Louisville, it would be cutting it close in terms of fuel & distance.

UPS63 lands in about 2.5 hours, so we might get a UPS update soon.

If we're on UPS 63, it continues to Louisville and arrives at ~ Wed 1:06am EDT.

For me, it could be in Oakland, CA by ~Wed 4am PDT, moved locally, and thrown on a truck for delivery tomorrow.

I think this is best-case scenario, but dang, fingers crossed.

Only that if enough people had problems someone might start one. Never would have been me. Nobody seems to have noticed that.

Maybe nobody noticed because that's not what you actually said, but what do facts have to with anything, amirite?

I see that you were also in the second batch here for originally 9/27 to 10/1. Before you found at store as I recall. Interesting you have a 9/23 date (before the customs snafu in ZhengZhou)! I never got earlier than 9/26 estimate.
He never had a 9/23 estimated date of delivery. 9/23 is when Apple requested the package be returned to them because he suddenly decided he couldn’t wait until his original shipment window and cajoled them into canceling his order. The “scan” is in Louisville because that’s where the UPS hub is and since it’s not actually a scan and not specific to a location, they have to pick a location to tag it with. It does not in any way indicate the package is lost or actually in Louisville.

As far as everybody talking about signatures required or not, unless the sender requires it, getting a signature is up to the discretion of the delivery driver. Obviously it takes more time but if they think there might be a problem that comes back on them later, they’ll demand one.

Well reading the shipment release stuff it says if I left it on then if driver does leave box then I am liable for losses like theft. So I just turned it off. It seems that apple always required for expensive items, not sure why for my 11 Pro Max 512GB which I would consider expensive LOL

Where are you seeing the shipment release information? I was trying to find it to make sure it was turned on for me

I am getting so impatient at this point. It's been sitting in HKG for so long.
Yeah. As others have said it’s likely it has moved from there and the tracking info just hasn’t updated yet. But it’s been almost a full day, it would be nice for some sort of further info (especially a clear delivery date).
