That's the joy of ad hominem arguments (yours included), they bend the laws of logic to it's inevitable extreme.Interesting logic. Reminds me of a story once about a friends teenage child that bought a car and didn't realize they had to buy car insurance.
Seriously...buyer beware.
It's trueGood. I’m all for cutting down on waste but we all know it’s straight up a money grab. If it weren’t, Apple would allow people to get a free charger per new iPhone if truly needed.
What a BS statement. Always has been always will be.
I wished I could, but they didn't sell the buns. It was just a burger patty, lettuce, tomato, onions and fries..Well, did you end up paying for the buns 🥖 separately?
That’s fine. I’ll take it. It won’t make the iPhone run hotter and the battery won’t degrade faster either.I'd ship a 2 watt adapter.
I don't care how fast the battery degrades. I get a new phone every year anyway. That’s fine. I’ll take it. It won’t make the iPhone run hotter and the battery won’t degrade faster either.
And buy gasoline, and change oil every 3500 miles.Interesting logic. Reminds me of a story once about a friends teenage child that bought a car and didn't realize they had to buy car insurance.
Seriously...buyer beware.
Samsung only did it after Apple showed the industry this was something they could get away with.Okay, now go after Samsung too. They both do it.
Well yeah, that's my point. I didn't own one thing that supported USB-C before 2020. Everyone that I know who purchased the iPhone 12 and newer bought a separate charger with their purchase. Not very environmentally friendly huh?
As someone else mentioned in another post, they talked about how everyone has an extra USB brick all over the place and then they ship the iPhone with a USB-C to lightning cable. I only have a few USB-C power bricks and since that is the new standard they refuse to adopt with the iPhone, all of mine are currently in use.
Now that the EU has mandated a USB-C port on every device, they can now mandate a USB-C port on every charger, which would address this issue.![]()
I do too, but I don't have very many USB-C charging bricks, almost all of mine are USB-A. Apple switched the charging cable to use a USB-C end, which ended up meaning that a lot of people were going to end up needing to buy a new brick if they didn't have one already.
Not a good analogy, first of all the Big Mac doesn't need mayo to fulfill its basic job like the iPhone needs a charging source, you can eat it either way. Secondly it would be more like if the mayo was originally included and then suddenly removed next time you purchase it.That’s a ridiculous analogy.
It’s more like you get your Big Mac, but want extra mayo so they charge you $0.25 for each packet. Your Big Mac comes exactly as advertised on the menu and most people like it that way. If you want extra you pay.
The iPhone isn’t missing anything to function. It comes with the iPhone and a USB-C to Lightning cable to connect to the existing charger the majority of people own.
Or, maybe all those people whining about Apple adopting USB-C so their iPhone would work with their existing chargers without needing a separate cable were…I don’t know…lying?
Don't give McDonalds any ideasThink of going to Mcdonalds and ordering a 🍔 Big mac. But you don't get any buns and cheese. You have to ask for the buns and cheese to be included for some extra $.
