OMG, how will it ever compete with the other Android phones with 12 MP sensors?the new Nexus Prime will come with a 5MP camera with advanced sensors.
Thank goodness someone is finally starting to get over the MP myth.

Not to mention 3 hr battery life on LTE...well, since everyone is disappointed, I highly suggest you guys check out other phones out on the market.
Get the Nexus Prime! (announcement date set for 10/11/2011 @ CTIA 11AM EST)
Release date set for 11/3/2011

PowerVR SGX 540 @ 384MHz
1GB RAM
4.65 inch Contoured display, with SAMOLED+ (PenTile w/ more subpixels)
1280 x 720 resolution
5MP camera + advanced sensors
1080p playback and recording
LTE/GSM/CDMA support

But do they take good pictures, or just a bunch of pixelated crap? 12 MP with a puny sensor is like hooking a 72" plasma screen up to an SD source, the result is worse than it would be if the specs were lower.

I know, I know, turn off the LTE when not browsing, and carry a spare battery, right?
I just want my phone to work without having to worry about constantly changing settings and batteries, TYVM.
what if he's saying that just because it's the 5th iphone?
And some Nokia phones have 12 mp
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A5313e Safari/7534.48.3)
8MP is meaningless. Ask yourself why the 5 year old DSLR with a 6MP sensor produces images that are FAR AND AWAY better than anything a call phone with a 8MP sensor can capture.
It's about OPTICS, not sensor MP. I hope Apple nukes the whole idea of measuring camera by MP. Stress the improved sensor and improved lens design, NOT MP. Let the crapdoid makers fight over retarded MP like Intel did back in the day trying to push Netburst to 3.4 GHz.

I'd be mildly irritated for holding off on a iphone4 purchase since feb of this year if they come out with only a 4s.
What if he's saying that just because it's the 5th iPhone?
Which will actually take worse photos with that many pixels fighting over the few photons coming in through a pinhole lens.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that the iPhone 4S will be announced on Tuesday, with availability in 10 days. In addition, I think that the iPhone 5 will also be announced, with availability in 3 months. Apple will hope that the momentum from the 4S refresh will carry it through the holiday season, with the new phone to boost traditionally slow January sales. Both phones will sport the A5, with the 4S retaining the current camera and screen and the iPhone 5 being upgraded to an 8 MP camera with improved optics, as well as possibly a larger screen. Both will be significant upgrades, being the only phones able to take advantage of all of the new features in iOS 5, so announcing the iPhone 5 shouldn't take too much away from sales of the 4S, which will be much more competitively priced and have nearly the same capabilities. The iPhone 5 will be for those who are willing to pay the price for higher specs and the very latest/coolest design, and who have the patience to wait for it.
I already explained why this is a misconception.
I'll assume you're not a Nokia user and have not spent a good amount of time in Europe.
That's ok.
Just bash it cause its the "Cool" thing to do in this forum
The truth is, I wish Apple took pictures like some of those Nokia phones
One is the new low end, for $99, while the other the new high end, for $399 (both with contract). Remember, there were rumors of design and production delays with the iPhone 5, and I can't see how that would apply to the iPhone 4S.I'm desperately fighting the urge to resort to name calling here, but do you honestly believe any company would announce a refresh of its flagship product and simultaneously announce the successor to that refresh?
Oh well...there's always Tuesday!
I'm the furthest thing from a Nokia fan
But the truth is, they take superior pictures even at a lower MP count.
That is one of the main reasons for the partnership with Microsoft
You're reasoning is correct by experience with other phones
But it is mi-placed with Nokia. Pictures are Fantastic with those phones ! And they have Carl Zies Lenses
