Wait, people still think calling Tim Cook Tim Crook is clever or funny?
I think that comes from people still in junior high school.

I think the oldest one had Sir Isaac Newton on it.Oldest, not most famous.
Sorry for being vague...I understand all of that. I just think Tim Cook has devalued the rainbow logo as an "Apple" thing. The watch faces don't herald back to the golden era do they?
Talk about a mixed signal. Here we have a memory of what made Apple unique and great yet it seems lately everything Apple does has been outside of thinking different. Failed to launch products, canceled airport lineup, limited hardware releases and refreshes, and an over abundance of social activism. The era of the multicolored apple logo is long gone as a focused tech firm pairing hardware and software together brilliantly seems to value their image over their products.
Sorry for the cynicism, I'm just taken aback by this move from Apple to praise a period that's long gone.
Apple's design chief Jony Ive reflected on the rainbow's significance in a recent interview:
There is the resonance with the rainbow logo that's been part of our identity for many years. The rainbow is also a positive and joyful expression of some of our inclusion values and I think that one of the primary reasons the idea resonated so immediately and so profoundly with us was the form -- the connection from an aesthetic design point of view. A semi-circle relates so beautifully and naturally to the form of the ring.
Imagine being as upset as this guy over how Apple decorates its campus. Temporarily.I never liked rainbows (other than the real ones), and I never will, despite loving the individual colors.
When I first discovered Apple, thankfully Steve Jobs had already retired that UGLY logo.
Thus I find all of this hideous.
Damnit, Tim. Dammit, Steve. I blame YOU for putting him in charge.
DAMMIT.
BRING BACK THE LASERWRITER AND QUICKTAKE, TIM
I remember the days of the rainbow Apple logo.
Days on which Steve Jobs was in charge.
I think I was pretty clear as to why I believe this is a mixed signal from Apple. Let's praise and remember the years Apple was ushering in a different approach to personal computing while we do the opposite in our day to day business practice. How is the classic Apple logo a mixed signal?
