Yes it is, since you seem to need further clarification.
Well that's funny. I seem to remember Steve Jobs coming back to Apple in 1997 and purposely ignoring everything that came before "We're not about looking backwards"

Imagine being as upset as this guy over how Apple decorates its campus. Temporarily.

Let's not make this into something more than it is. Are we not allowed to express dissent?

I "strongly dislike" rainbows, especially the way they're used here, and I strongly dislike Tim Cook's choices regarding Apple.

But I'm not angry about it. It's just a company, and none of it is personal.

Just expressing my taste, like everyone else here saying that they "love the rainbow" or "hate the avocado green" Xr concepts.

Because it’s one of the most famous iconic Apple styles from back in the day. Just out of curiosity how old are you? Only asking because I know it would be obvious to the older folks, but maybe not the younger ones.

To be fair, 1998 was 21 years ago. I got married, had kids, raised 3 out of 4 of them to adulthood, and became an empty nester in that time.

One does not have to be young to not remember or care for the rainbow Apple logo.

I came into the Apple camp in 2001, when it had been gone for years already (thank God).

Apple used to send out rainbow colored Apple stickers with every Apple II. I bought one. It's still working even. It is the most known original logo of the company. All of the other connotations with the rainbow are false or from things that happened later. It's a celebration of Steve Jobs. It's his logo design, not John Sculley's or even Tim Cook's.

So lady Gaga performed. And there were fireworks.

Oh and it looks like they were giving out these jackets? Or employees could purchase them?

If I’m not mistaken, I wasn’t the one saying “Dammit, Tim. Dammit, Steve,” followed by “DAMMIT.”

Weren’t you also “blaming” Steve Jobs for putting Tim Cook in charge, which had little to do with the decorations for this event? Blame without anger or any emotion? Are you sure it’s not personal?

I would like to how how many people can fit in that green strip grass way. Doesn't seem like it can hold allot. Perhaps that why its for Apple employees only.

FYI. those colorful stairs would make me exercise again

Lucky them! I've seen Gaga 3 times in Sydney, she's phenomenal!
Those jackets are neat, it's nice to see Apple haven't entirely forgotten their roots.

I want that jacket personally. I’m sure some employee/attendee will put it on eBay for a ridiculous price and will generate a nice profit. There are some hard-core Apple collectors that would really want that jacket.

This photo of the stage on this story is a bit crap really, having now seen other photos it makes more sense about those hoops, and the layout in general. Don’t know why you chose that photo for this story as it’s probably one of the worst you could have used?

Looks like it was a fun opening event, wonder if they invited all employees along? I believe the site can accommodate 15,000 people? But I’ve no idea how many are actually employed in the are by Apple as no doubt that place has lots of expansion room built into it.

Written vs non-verbal & auditory communication. There are limitations. I failed to communicate the playful snark I thought of when I wrote it.

Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple. To say he had little to do with the decorations for the event is disingenuous. I hate rainbows as a color/design choice. And when I say 'hate', I mean I wouldn't choose to use it anywhere, NOT 'I want to destroy everyone that loves them'.

Blame without anger or any emotion? Are you sure it’s not personal?

Yep, I'm sure. I don't KNOW Tim Cook. I disagree with what he does when it comes to running Apple.

Some of us CAN separate blame from anger, even if you can't or won't accept it. So, imagine a person NOT being angry while reading my posts, and you'll get closer to the truth.

I can't believe this took so long to build. It was planned before Jobs death...!

This is all a bit sappy. Like other posters said, aside from "tug at heart strings" references in his keynotes, Jobs looked to the future, and that's certainly what Apple needs right now – vision. I'm all for meaningful nostalgia, but...

Oh, did you know him well? I’m sure better than his best friend and close collaborator for decades.

Really? I thought Tim Cook was CFO, the bean counter who kept the warehouses from holding too much inventory on hand. How many patents did Tim Cook have before he became CEO? My thinking on Steve Jobs picking Tim Cook was simply that he'd keep the company financially solvent and let smart people do the smart things they were capable of. I seriously doubt Jobs ever thought Tim Cook was a visionary of any kind.

I was talking about Jony Ive, who assuredly designed all of this.

You angry bro, never heard someone say they hate rainbows.
