This has to be the best news to come out of WWDC. They have had a huge win with TFL, many Android vendors have been trying to get on this for a while now, but they've somehow managed to be the first ones.

Contactless on the TFL is going to be great and I'm super looking forward to this...

I am so excited for apple pay! I've been waiting for it since US Launch! this weekend I just got back from 2 weeks in new york where so many places accepted apple pay and I couldn't use my phone/watch for any payments :(

I am going to the states in a few weeks and planned on opening an american account,
Probably don't need to now, Although I still might open one.

I thought the readers being rolled out in the US were just plain old contactless readers that happened to have an ApplePay logo.

This!

Apple pay uses standard nfc so you'll be able to use it anywhere that accepts contact less payments

Thats within an app as an Online Purchase, so not Contactless. At the bottom of the page there is a contactless transaction but thats for only £19.98.
Your right,
It looks like you can only pay up to £20,(£30 shortly)

I think its still possible that Apple Pay could get treated differently from a normal contactless transaction because it has the security from Touch ID. However it will probably require stores to have a separate Apple Pay option on the checkout so that the contactless reader activates when it is over £20.

So I guess I am wondering how Apple Pay with reward/loyalty cards will work. Now I just go up to an NFC reader and pay using my default card. If I go to Petco, will I have to open Wallet, choose the Petco PALS card, have it scanned then switch back to my default card? I assume so. Even more of a hassle if I have to go back and choose a credit card instead of my debit card for bigger purchases.

Our local tesco don't do contactless so I doubt they will have it. Morrissons do they so it might work there. Another reason to not go to tesco....

You would have been willing to pay awful exchange rates and additional fees just to use Apple Pay?

Any word on Natwest supporting it in the UK? I am really hoping to use it soon... I have an iPhone 6 and it's a shame not to be able to use it yet.
