Apple Pay Could Launch in Germany as Early as Next Month

Well, didn’t sunny say that they gonna announce it next eeek?
That wouldn’t make sense at all as they announced Brazil during the earnings call.

No. He said that during next week a significant number of people should see the rollout of AP on their devices.

Today I paid at IKEA (Frankfurt) with Apple Pay. Funny enough they asked for signature. How would they like to compare it? With my watch? Payment was done through Boon Ireland

Also with Apple Pay some places still want a signature. Apple informs about that on one of their Apple Pay webpages.

We can wait for the next week. Apple Pay can lauch without prior notice. I think that Apple told about the Brazil as a country for near future. In my opinion they did not say anything about Germany because the launch can be again postponed. In case of Russia the sitaution was different. Actually the bank itself has a motivation to introduce Apple Pay. Originally it was only supported by one bank. Sberbank pays 0.15% for every transaction. In case of Germany there are still players which will agree with Apple e.g. N26, Comdirect, Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank..

I know it's frustrating. But don’t give up. As a matter of fact, Apple is determined to launch Apple Pay in Germany. However, it is quite difficult to obtain information about an actual date.

I do use boon. But it’s gonna be 1,49 in a month (my free year is over)
 
So I just set up boon. through Ireland. By looking around in the Help tab, under Fees, I found this:

boon. is stating different account limitations for France and Germany, although boon. can't be activated through the German App Store...
