Two days ago, I did not see "Germany" as a selection field.
At the moment I don't see it either.

It’s also in German, but they have to translate it anyway because of Switzerland.

So now we have:

07.02.2018: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027 (Überblick über Sicherheit und Datenschutz bei Apple Pay)

20.04.2017: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT202527 (Methode zur Verifizierung von Karteninhabern (CDCVM))

I'm not so sure if the Publishing date means anything, because it should be in every language the same.

One little thing I found, when I was digging around the support sites - you can order AP-Sticker for Germany: https://www.applepaysupplies.com/applepaykit.html?___store=ap_de (I don’t know if this was possible before)

German could indeed be used for Switzerland, so an update in the German page doesn't necessarily mean anything. But... there's no Dutch speaking country with Apple Pay right now, so an update in the Dutch pages/a page about Apple Pay suddenly appearing in Dutch, could well be an indication of something coming/changing.
[doublepost=1518009360][/doublepost]I'm assuming of course that a launch in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria is connected, and one won't happen without the other.

Hmmm... Germany and Austria ... perhaps. But why should the Netherlands be connected to a german start?

better just stop this discussion: Senseless "Indicators" like this exists since years and they didn't mean anything an all. Neither App Updates of your Banks, nor updates of Apple website, nor any accidental appearance of Apple pay somewhere in iOS, MacOS or watch OS. Waste of time ... (btw. if it works like that, just scan your creditcard you dont need any App update at all - via App is just an additional way to add Creditcart to Wallet). I am pretty sure it doesn't even need any iOS Update for Germany - as long as its only about VISA/AMEX/MC everything is in place and just hidden. They all have Cardnumber, Valid, Name and Code. The check if a card is working for apple pay is done Server-Side and not in iOS. Only if a card, like GiroCard would need different card number entry format (e.g. Capture IBAN or other data) then it might need an iOS update. (but here also possible that such fields are also already there).

There's no more reason why Germany and Austria should be connected than Germany and the Netherlands, other than Apple says so. Somehow Germany and the Netherlands have always been mentioned together in these launch rumors. To be fair, I think Austria was "added" later to these rumors. Wasn't it first Poland? Either way, it's all just rumors.

False! Before launches took place, there have been always iOS Updates.

That’s why I think that no one will notice something bout a possible silent update. It’s called „silent“ for a reason...

I think we will see AP in Germany in near future. No proof but hope/feeling/nothing/fun...

I'm not sure if this helps in any way or is already a known fact.
If you go to the App Store and search for an App you can see which Apple Features are supported. Some apps support Siri and family sharing.
I've just checked the DKB and the N26 App. Besides, they both support Siri and family sharing the App store states that they also support the Wallet app. I'm not sure if this is any kind of a sign nor helpful in any way, but I wanted to share this information.

And N26 has it because of France and the other countrys where Apple Pay is available.

And if I'm not wrong, there was no announcement either.
I think they were announced during an earnings call...

It’s just an silent update. Apple can activated Apple Pay on your device without an iOS update specific for a launch country.
I think, the Italians needed the right iOS-Version. iOS dropped and on the next day AP dropped.

Actually, it was 2 days. May 15 2017 iOS 10.3.2 launched, AP in Italia launched 2 days later on May 17.
So you could be right that there is an update needed for AP in Germany. But on the other hand, as other users pointed out, there still might be the possibility that the launch is just server-sided and that everything in the current public iOS release is already ready for AP in Germany.
