soon we'll be able to buy the new iPhone with our iPhone?

there should be some sort of triple check going on, on wifi, in apple store, touch ID, security camera scan

haha

Tried on the bus this morning with my apple watch. Didn't work. Just got a red light on the reader. Then I was one of those annoying people fumbling around for my oyster. Looked like a right dick. Haha

Anyone managed to get their card on their Apple Watch? Works fine on the phone and I was able to pay at Tesco but whenever I try to add the card to my watch I just get "Could Not Set Up Apple Pay - An error occurred while setting up Apple Pay"
TESCO? They are not on the list of Apple Pay retailers. You sure...

you should have had your oyster out ready for any fail, or atleast in your back pocket ready to swipe out like a fast draw cowboy haha

I've got a joint account I don't know if this comes with purple cards, tbh I never knew there was different cards until today with apple pay launch lol have to get on to them to see if they can offer a apple pay supported joint account

Just got off the phone to them quickly. Natwest Select Accounts with blue cards (or any blue cards for any account type) are not supported with Apple Pay. Apparently this may change in the future though, although unlikely.

Unless they offer the purple cards, you're out of luck. I was just told I can't have one until it's offered to me, despite being a customer for many years with several services with them.

Tried to register my Halifax Visa (RBS) no dice. Bit disappointing. Does the card itself have to be contactless in order to work with AP?
Halifax will only work later in the year and they are part of Bank of Scotland group not RBS. RBS is RBS, Natwest, and Ulster bank.

I've been able to add my Santander debit card to my iPad Air 2, but I'm having no luck with iPhone 5 and Apple Watch running iOS 9 Beta 3 (and Watch OS2) - I keep getting an error when I press "Add Credit or Debit Card" in Wallet & Apple Pay in the Watch app.

Anyone else on iOS 9 Beta 3 having issues?

So apparently I must have a basic account with RBS, what account do you need? One of those where they charge you like £11 a month for "insurance"?

It's probably already been said but HSBC has been removed as a launch partner. Unfortunate as I was looking forward to using my watch for the tube this morning and maybe buying breakfast. I understand stuff can happen, but HSBC has not done a good job (or any job) of managing expectations. You don't just keep quiet until people realise it's not working the morning of an announced launch.

Both MBNA and Amex cards added successfully, other cards when you try to add just say not yet possible.

I think it will be interesting to see how this evolves over the next few months with so many contactless terminals out there for low value transactions this is great, it will be interesting to see how stores upgrade to deal with the two factor authentication and higher value transactions which are technically possible.

As someones mentioned earlier is this thread the number of contactless terminals is the UK is enormous I think it was mentioned there are more in place now in the UK than were available in the US when Apple Pay launched last year.

For reasons that I never understood banks have been pushing contactless debit and credit cards for ages in the UK, the first time that in the UK we have seen the same "if you have the card" you can pay for it attitude that has always surprised me about the US.

I'll be much happier using Apple Pay I suspect.

phone again and try another operator.

Added my Nationwide card to 6+ and my apple watch went through very smoothly now can't wait to confuse shop assistants :p

So none of my cards will load including my business Amex and also my Tesco issued MasterCard (which I'm surprised about !)..

My 'One Account' card has loaded but it is now telling me to phone them for verification ? Anyone else had this ? I haven't had to phone my bank for years so not sure what they are going to want to know to verify ?

Tesco Bank haven't made any announcement about when they're going to support Apple Pay yet, so don't expect your Tesco Mastercard to be supported anytime soon.

As for your One Account (RBS), is this your debit or credit card you're talking about? I've got a One Account Visa credit card, but when I try to register it it says my issuer doesn't offer support. Looking at the RBS home page it now says "Available on selected RBS personal current accounts and RBS MasterCard credit cards", i.e. no support for Visa credit cards. Shame they couldn't have told everyone this before today.

Hi, It is the One Account Debit card - the one which comes with the Mortgage account. It seems to have loaded okay - but is now saying I have to phone to verify which is a pain..

You've got the online only card whilst your girlfriends' is offline. In your case it has to check the available account funds when completing a transaction whereas your girlfriend's card doesn't.
I've ordered a new contactless card as NatWest later advised me that I did need one for it to work. As they seem a bit confused and you seem clued up, I'll ask you! Will my new contactless card be 'offline' or are these two separate concepts and it's not guaranteed? Even if it's not guaranteed, do you think it's likely? Thanks.

P.S. It doesn't matter too much anyway as I just added my girlfriend's card. It all comes from the same account.

If your running watch os2 beta 3 Apple pay has been disabled so it won't work with this beta and i don't think the 5 is supported with passbook, only the 6 and 6+

I'm really confused with all of this Wallet/Pass Book stuff.

So can I load in my Tesco Clubcard and Morrisions Match & More card etc. ? As that would be nice if I could..
