Without unlocking, it uses your 'default card.' Which you can choose in settings. If you want to use a different card from your default card, you'll need to open passbook and select the card you want to use.

The video shows that you hold the phone near the terminal w/o touching the button. It will let you choose the card you want to use and then use TouchID to authenticate. You don't need to launch Passbook first or unlock the phone in advance.

Good lord. I was on the phone with BoA (BankAmericard-MasterCard) customer service for over 20 minutes. Most of that time on hold - not waiting for a rep, but talking to one, being put on hold while he does something, and then getting transferred to a new guy to go through the exact same conversation. Finally verified after all that. I wonder if BoA is randomly asking for some customers to verify by phone instead of all?

Chase Freedom Card took maybe 1 minute just to receive an email and type in the verification code.

Don't know if it's been posted but Capital One Platinum and Capital One Quicksilver both work properly.

So there is no way to pay without unlocking the phone and going into the passbook to select a specific card (assuming you have more than 1 registered)

i dont see anywhere in the settings on how to make a credit card as a "default card" can anyone guide me? thanks

Is there a way to just use Touch ID for Apple Pay and not for unlocking the phone? I don't want to use a passcode or Touch ID to unlock, but Touch ID is required for Apple Pay

I'm somewhat disappointed that Barclayscard isn't ready on launch day. My main rewards credit cards and through them.

Paid for my lunch at Panera Bread...

Under "Settings" go to Passbook & Apple Pay.

It's a beautiful thing. I can't wait until my CU card is supported, and the rest of my CC's / debit cards.

I was able to get both of my personal Amex cards to work and also my personal Chase United Explorer card. But for some reason I was not able to get any of my Corporate Master Cards (Wells and Citi), which I guess are not supported, and could not add my Corporate Visa United Club Card (Chase). Tried switching the billing address still no luck.

thats the proble i had. i set up auto pay and it automatically put my phone on auto lock, i turned off the pascode lock and it deleted my Credit card info. im frustrated with apple pay already:confused:

I was able to add mine. Small business AMEX.

Was yours also a Small Business corporate card or a large company corporate card. I think this may be the difference. Large corps may want to restrict this.

Is it from a participating bank?

I have a large corporate card..

Both my Chase Freedom and Chase Sapphire Preferred added to Passbook. The Sapphire card didn't want to scan using the camera though, so had to do manual input (tried scanning the back, since thats where the numbers are, and even the front for giggles, no luck on either).

Used the Sapphire at McDonalds successfully.

I'm not able to get my Citi Card to work. I get through to the verification process and it just gives me an error telling me to contact the card lender.

Went to Panera to try it out and the only register they had open wasn't even connected to an NFC reader. Not a great first impression.

The gods are teasing me today. Shopping center just 2 minutes away from work literally has a Subway, CVS, Panera Bread, and McDonalds next to each other.

And here I am stuck at work with no wi-fi.

Yeah my discover, amazon chase, and barclays didn't work...only chase freedom and chase slate did.
