All of my regular cards work. Bank of America is on board with Credit and debit, AmEx has Charge and Credit cards working, and my Chase Credit works. The only stuff that doesn't are the store cards I have (Target and Sam's), which isn't too surprising. I do have an account at a local bank, and that card didn't work.

I guess we did find at least once advantage to the multinational giant "to big to fail" banks.

One of our new 'healthy' junk food machines had the nfc logo, so for grins I tried it. Kind of awkward because I have a wallet case, have to open the flap to get to the Touch ID sensor. But it beeped, I selected the food, and I got my chips I'm easily amused :)

Start expecting cases on the market that expose the Home button/Touch ID sensor.

Amex

After setting up my Amex for ApplePay I got a confirmation email from them stating this among other things:

"When you turn over your Card in Apple Pay, you will see two different sets of numbers. One will be the last 5 digits of your American Express Card number. The other is the Device Account Number, which is a unique number assigned to this Card on your Phone."

How do you turn the card over? I did find the Device Acct Number in the settings->ApplePay

Chase debit card, citi thankyou and forward, bofa credit card: works
Chase ink plus: it says the issuer banks doesn't support Apple Pay:eek:
Was anyone able to add their Chase business credit card in Apple Pay?

Good to know. There are some confusing articles out there saying only the few stores that are listed by Apple can support Apple Pay, even though I thought any point-of-sale with the NFC (PayPass, PayWave) would. Thanks for testing!

In passbook, choose the card, tap the info ( "i") on the lower right.

You turn the card over by hitting the little "i" button that is in a circle. Should be lower right corner when card is selected in passbook.

When i do this on my american express, it shows lots of transaction, keep scrolling down it it has Card Information.

Called Chase Amazon on the phone. They were able to activate cards earlier but seem to be having a server issue now.

Does Apple pay require you to have imediate Passcode/touch ID lock on your device?

when I set up my cap one credit card. it turned turned on the passcode lock and the only option becomes Immediate lock. when I turned off the pascode lock it deleted my Apple pay card info..

I dont like to have to authenticate everytime i lock my screen. Pretty dumb it would delete your card info with out warning you.

Just used Apple Pay NYC-Duane Reade

Worked flawlessly. Much better than google wallet.

i just left duane reade in Bensonhurst BK and they had no idea what to do with apple pay

My main card is also a Chase Amazon Visa, mind keeping me updated with what Chase says?

By the end of the month, the Chase Amazon card should be available to use in Apple pay...according to Chase. Guess we will have to wait a couple of weeks.

apple pay without unlocking the phone

From reading up on apple pay, it seems like we dont even have to unlock the phone to pay using apple pay.

My question is, lets say I got several credit cards registered on passbook. When I want to pay for something without unlocking the phone, how do I select which credit card from apple pay I want to use?

Can someone who used the system already explain plz.

Thanks.

Without unlocking, it uses your 'default card.' Which you can choose in settings. If you want to use a different card from your default card, you'll need to open passbook and select the card you want to use.

Tried my USbank debit Visa & claims not supported at this time.. But I contacted the bank & got this reply..

Hi Hector, we are very excited to offer Apple Pay and while we are ready to launch, it is being offered in phases by Apple. You can check www.usbank.com for updates on when it will be rolled out to us. Thank you. ^Katie
