I need food to survive, I need water, I need oxygen, I need a house to keep me warm! I don't need a piece of gold on my finger! Selfish vanity such as this is everything that's wrong with the world. Yes, a down vote button would be very welcome...
Your reductionist argument is quite silly. To chastise someone about gold is as asinine as chastising someone for owning an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. You're on this site so it's reasonable to assume you own one or more of those products None are needed in a pedantic sense but I bet you can justify your spend. Do yourself a favor. Put that rock down else someone toss a stone at your glass house.;)

That's why the Gold Apple Watch is a waste of money because people can spray paint the apple sports watch. No point in spending $10,000+ just because the color is gold. It's made out of real gold but it doesn't have any advantage if other people can easily paint their watches Gold.

Then why hasn't the costume jewelry market exploded? People with money to buy real gold don't mind spending that money because it's a status symbol and an investment. People without that much money can do whatever they want to and maybe they'll fool others but they still won't have real gold and Apple won't get those nice profits either.

You don't need any of the products Apple sells, nor do I. Yet you seem to feel you are somehow the arbiter what excessive indulgence is or is not.

Bluetooth with number pad!!! It's so important for so many things. Coders, number bods, even designers need them constantly.

And the arrow keys are actually usable on a full-size!

Coders? Ha. Coders need a # key every minute of the day. Try to find that on a UK Apple keyboard.

Bet this 'pro' thing get an emoji key though.

Keyboard - full size - black keys - back lit - available as either wired with USB 3.0 hub or full wireless (no hub obviously) models. These things or why even bother.

This comment is so absurd that I don't even know what to say...

Ok I'm skeptical we're going to see new iPhones, iPads, Watches and TV all at the same event. And if Apple is introducing new watch options (not just new sport bands) I doubt they would relegate that to a press release. Especially if there are any Watch things not mentioned at WWDC and saved for a fall event.

Accompanying the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro and next-generation Apple TV set to be announced next week, Apple is also planning a revamped iPad keyboard and new metal finishes for the Apple Watch Sport, including a less expensive gold version, according to The New York Times.

9to5Mac reported similar information, claiming the iPad Pro will have expanded Bluetooth keyboard support and that Apple is working on a new keyboard accessory for the rumored 12.9-inch tablet, which could be released by year end. The report also hinted at the possibility of new gold Apple Watch Sport colors.

Last month, a new Apple Wireless Keyboard with Bluetooth 4.2 and a rechargeable lithium-on battery was discovered in filings with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission. Images of an Apple Wireless Keyboard with backlit keys and a power button also briefly surfaced on the Apple Online Store in March.

MacRumors has also received information about Apple's plans to release at least one new metal finish for the Apple Watch. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo first noted the Apple Watch may gain additional casing options in March, and three months later said a yellow and rose gold Apple Watch Sport will launch in the fall.

Apple is also expected to debut new Apple Watch Sport bands at its September 9th media event, possibly with a focus on darker colors.

MacRumors will be providing live blog coverage of Apple's "Hey Siri" media event, which begins next Wednesday at 10:00 AM Pacific.

Gold watch and keyboard are nice to talk about but what's really important here is the possibility of a navy blue or orange (if its the right shade) sport band. I'm fired up about it if I'm honest.

That's all in their minds. The product doesn't get worse just because there is a new product. It stays the same. It's the "I want to have the new thing" attitude which leads to unhappiness with the previous product.

True to some extent. But when the same product is released within the same year with new options or features it's a little bit different.

I'm looking at you iPad 3..

Funny that you're here lecturing about your supposed altruism, comparing basic necessities for survival vs luxuries in life, here on a forum about Apple products...surely you see the irony here.

So when I get married should I buy aluminum wedding bands and just spray paint them gold? ...

.

Well put! You can buy a fake Rolex, but it's not a Rolex!

I am super surprised they would put our a gold sports watch, really would reduce the appeal of a 10k watch. But then again... maybe they will give up on the 10k market

Of course it won't. There's a huge difference between the look of them as well. Also, you can expect Apple to enhance the already significant styling differences between the Edition watch bands and the regular. There will be a silver-colored Edition some day too, possibly Platinum that will look no different than the stainless version. Because people who can afford it want quality.

But what about the huge middle-class market that can't afford a $10-17K watch? Are they just going to settle for silver? No, Apple will likewise have to address a less expensive gold-clad watch for the huge market of customers who simply won't wear silver jewelry or accessories. That, or they will leave that money on the table as those customers will buy any number of gold-colored watches sold by the competitors.

Precious metals are more scarce and therefore, more expensive. If Aluminum were rarer, THEY would be the most expensive metals and highly valued. People don't buy gold and diamonds because they are going to do something additional, they do so because they want of the beauty and the rarity of the object. No spray paint is going to satisfy someone who has the means and wants a really classy edition. Spray paint simply craps up a decent $350 model.

Bring a built-in USB 3.1 type C (reversible) hub to the Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad.

Navy Blue would be really nice with the SGS (what I have)!

If Apple has a new keyboard to release, my guess is that they will release it alongside a new iMac or Mac Pro. They usually don't release that kind of accessory on its own.

For example, the Magic Trackpad was released July 27, 2010, the same day day they updated the iMac line. The same thing happened on October 20, 2009, when Apple released the Apple Magic Mouse along side iMac updates.

For all the continued talk of an iPad Pro - where are all the photo leaks to back that talk up ?
The rumors are that the iPad Pro won't be on the shelves until later in the fall.

Just like the rumored iWatch last year and the rumored iPhone before its announcement in 2007, we didn't have any mass production low-wage employees who had their hands on the components. So we didn't get parts leaks.
