you're thinking of Nokia. apples images are legit.

Really, so that wonderfully steady shot of the BMX slow mo came from an iphone 5s being held by someone on a skateboard??

And before you try and blast me with science, i work in TV/Film production as an engineer. I work with many formats in a company that shoots and edits all its own programmes, Mythbusters being one of them.

This was not what I was hoping for with the latest phone release.

I'll be interested in seeing how it does.

Can't wait to get one when they come off contract on Verizon. Yes...I will fork up the cash. I'm happy with my unlimited Data plan.:apple:

Same here! My iPhone 5s will be silver but that unlimited data is good as gold. I will be trading in my 5 and ca$hing out for that 5s!

Their marketing team is coming up with the script for Ive, just like they've always done. And I guarantee most of the team is the same from two years ago...

If you think Steve came up with these types of marketing videos when he was alive you're living a fantasy world.

The point is the same regardless of who comes up with the words.

:apple:

Is it just me, or do someone else havin' an issue with the biometrics stuff...

a) stored and locked at the chip only... - sort of "hard to believe" in these days

b) thatway me and only me can use the phone unless I store the fingerprints of my kids or wife on the phone? if you live e.g. in the mountains - that might become a serious security issue...

I feel somehow "minority report" is comming closer and closer...

still on iphone 4 here, and it seems I will stay for a long long time.

The point(s)

I think you're missing the point. Its supposed to be cheaper. Hence the use of plastic and cheaper components. All the low-cost Android phones have what you call "outdated components" but I don't see you (or any other anti-Apple people) complaining about that.

I mean I wish I could buy a Ford Focus that completely recapitulated a Ferrari 458 spider but that high-end, cutting-edge technology in the Ferrari is expensive. Over the next few decades some of it will eventually make it into the 15k car but it will of course be "outdated" compared to what the new Ferraris have at that point.

The point is if you want the newest, best technology you have to pay for it. If you want to spend less money then be content with technology that has already been used in the previous high-end devices.

I do not miss the point. The price difference in between 5 and 5S is just too small.
I mean... come on! What is Cook doing! He obviously thinks, selling inferior (compared to Apple's own top products) devices for premium price does protect the image? The iPad2, the non-retina iPad Mini, now the iPhone C, the ongoing offer of lousy 16gb... - What this guy did (and does) in fact, is flooding the market with not-so-good-stuff for high price. How long will it take, to destroy Apple's good image? Cook is bringing the destruction a jump into mass-marked would have brought - and at the same time, this attempt is crippled by a greedy attempt of keeping the margin of profit insanely high.
And about aesthetics: iOS7 and this C-phone clearly show, that Ive's best time is over - to say the least.

yes, because thermo plastic engineering isn't a sophisticated process at all. anybody can do it. can we see your production portfolio?

I'm thinking because you're probably wrong. I'd bet being 64-bit is what's giving it massive amounts of computing power for a mobile device.

why do you feel chest hair is distracting? it's naturally found on men. I've never spent a second thinking about it on him...the more interesting question may be: why are you?

you're thinking of Nokia. apples images are legit.

I swear some of you act like you believe someone is trying to...trick you. crazy.

Ive isn't saying plastic is magic. he's describing the feeling one gets when using a brand new thing yet having that thing come naturally and feel familiar.

haha.. dude, are you Tim Cook or Ive? did we hurt your feelings? calm yourself.. spend less time defending Apple and maybe you'll realize that others can have opinions.

and ps.. Ive was raving about plastic.. take less sips from that kool-aid. nice job adding "thermo" and "engineering" in there tho skippy. you could try to get a gig doing next year's script for Ive.

i thought fingerprint recognition has been out for decades in china, unless this was to fool american and EU consumers i can not see how is this supposed to convince Chinese consumers they should dish out all that money?

Also...

Looking at Ive, speaking about destillation: Ever thought about creating a complete new live-changing incredible and amazing experience?
I am speaking about the iRazor with ceramic blades, LED light and a grip of liquid metal.

It is very clear from these new products the influence that Steve Jobs had on the company and its senior staff. He was essentially the ******** detector that kept everyone in check. Who kept Jony Ive from crapping out neon rainbow colors on hardware and software wherever he could. Who kept the staff from patting themselves on the back when things got too easy.

Presentation is important, but at the end of the day, Apple needs to be realistic about how exactly innovative they are.

A designer as brilliant as Jony Ive still needs control by the control freak Steve Jobs. Without him Jony Ive has gone wild and release the rubbish bin Mac Pro and now the connect 4 iPhone 5C case and the neon colour wallpaper

Pubic hair is also naturally found on men (and women). I've never spent a second thinking that the natural occurrence of an anatomical feature automatically makes it appropriate for a publicly dispensed promotional video...the more interesting question may be: why are you?

It's Wall Street analysts that got this wrong making the assumption the 5C was intended to be a budget phone.

Yes, because analysts would never have predicted that they would try to sell a phone with old tech with a garish redesigned plastic (yes it does 'look' cheap, no getting around that) case for only £80 less than the flagship model.

Analysts....

But like I have said already in another thread, this move may purposely increase sales in the 5S, (over the trend to buy last years model) and the 5C will 'bomb' in it's unintended marketplace.

However, this will not matter of course, as the 'C' was always destined for China anyway, where the £80 difference really means something to peoples incomes and ability to access the iOS platform.

So maybe it is win-win as they planned?

If you want my opinion I think the shots and videos are legit. It was shot off an iPhone 5S camera.

The real question is what about other equipments? A professional lighting, stabilizer, foot, reflectors and rails must be used in conjunction to produce that kind of pictures and clips.

We can't just shoot randomly with the iPhone to expect that kind of quality.
In short, I think it's not a real world shot, but it's shot off using a 5S.

How do I become one of the random people in these videos?

"You gotta kill a few people. Then you got to get sent to a slam, where they tell you you'll never see daylight again. You dig up a doctor, and you pay him 20 menthol Kools to do a surgical shine job on your eyeballs..."

Apple always did what it think was right regardless of what other think or do. Now it tries to please people and it feels falsely. Ive hypnotizing and convicing people with the same "magical" words again and it seems he doesn't really believe himself in what he's saying.

It's like saying that new Lamborghini model makes a difference in China because it's $1000 cheaper than the previous one.
iPhone 5c is still too expensive for China, and there it will cost $733, due to local taxes. It's a flop. Huge, plain, total flop.
