1. The 5C looks good for another segment of the marketplace. My teenaged daughter doesn't need a 5S but would do fine with the 5C. The 5C is more appealing to her.
2. The 5S fits me better professionally. I like the TouchID feature and hoping it works well. I want (and actually have no choice) the security in a complex password but find it frustrating to use when unlocking my phone dozens and dozens of times a day. I do hope the iphone 5S type line is more professionally focused and Apple improves on some of the productivity apps...specifically mail.
Each version of the iPhone isn't only about what that deliverable immediately offers. It's also about what has been implemented for future expansion. While it may not enough for some people the hardware & software is plenty to satisfy me. I like the direction Apple continues to move.
