This nano is probably the last great standalone music player. The end of an era. Heck of a way to go out - it is superb.

Very slick ad, and perfect song selection. I hope iphone 5 gets a high energy fun ad as well

They need to take whoever made this ad and put them on iPhone ad duty.... the voiceover iPhone 5 ads are awful compared to this. Compared to anything, really.

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *punches voice actor*

Once I realized it was Jeff Daniels, I didn't hate them as much. He's impossible not to like.

You know what I hate about iPods? They are like pokemon. No matter how childish, or stupid, or insane it sounds, you want to collect all of them.

Nice commercial, I like how they stayed closer to their roots and emphasizing music and color rather than a "Genius" showing off it's "features." Nicely done.

This ad is a "meh" IMO. Just shows that iPod can be tossed and bounced. And you know someone will try to do that and the iPod will break and it'll make front page news.

I'd give it a 3/5.

If I throw my nano on the ground, it also emits iPod shuffles on collision.

Now that would be something. :D

Wow what is wrong u people

that was awful!

1) tells us nothing about the new devices
2) says nothing about the new ipod mini
3) there is no logic to the bouncing.
4) does not inspire anyone to buy one of these overpriced devices

swear if i showed u an ad with the same lame bouncing crap with samsung devices u would say it sucked

Does anyone else find it odd that apple went with a circle for the iPod nano's home button? Didn't they patent their specific iOS home button icon? It's supposed to resemble an iOS app icon (in shape, anyways.) The button with the icon design takes you to the grid of icons. Does the new Nano's interface not use a grid of icons like the 6th gen did?

I didnt know that, but if this is true, then as the icons on the new nano are round, the home button makes perfect sense.

Comic book guy from the simpsons, is that you??

Oh I get it!
Since Shuffles cost $50 they put three of those in 1 Nano, and they put 2 $149 Nanos into the $299 Touch

I had a kind of Pavlovian revulsion to this ad; a sickening feeling I've developed from seeing too many iPhones drop. It's like gadget torture set to music.

But it's still a damn sight better than those Genius ads.

Finally, this is what Apple ads have been and should continue to be. Sometimes, you don't need to say much to convey a lot. ;)

And this line of thinking is why, even in my country where it would be very difficult to litigate for my own stupidity, my coffee cup has "CAUTION HOT COFFEE IS HOT" written on it.

I think it was a joke...

Ah man, I'm sick of it too. Worse, there's 2 of them... and one actor plays an Apple guy in one, and a Samsung guy in the other. Nothing in those ads shows a sign of marketing intelligence.

Those ads are a sign of health for Apple. As long as Samsung feels the need to take swings at the iPhone, they're doing it from Apple's rear view mirror. Same as the I'm a Mac, I'm a PC commercials. Except in reverse...
