I liked the ad. I found myself wanting dozens of iPods...:D

Still, the Touch looked emaciated, too skinny... Only reason I'm getting one is for the lanyard feature. They should have done that way back with the first ones...

Wow what is wrong u people

that was awful!

1) tells us nothing about the new devices
2) says nothing about the new ipod mini
3) there is no logic to the bouncing.
4) does not inspire anyone to buy one of these overpriced devices

swear if i showed u an ad with the same lame bouncing crap with samsung devices u would say it sucked

iPod sales having been falling steadily for the past few years. I don't see this doing anything to change that. Kids would rather have a smartphone or a tablet and adults/audiophiles would rather have an iPhone or an iPod classic with it's much larger hard drive. And I still think the new touch is way too expensive. Nobody is going to be queuing up to buy these which is why Apple have released them when nobody was looking right in between the iPhone and iPad Mini launches.

Which is why they spent an hour announcing them in September.

People--Apple still sells around 7 million iPods per quarter, more than the Apple TV. There is still a market for that.

Great looking ad from an artistic ad.

But honestly it makes it appear as the new iPods are shock resistant or something.

So now I know why my iPhone 5's were all scuffed up

lol no.

Audiophiles wouldn't go anywhere near an iDevice. Even Samsung bests Apple on that front.

It's all about Cowon.

Only the most deluded audiophiles care for their portable music devices. You can't appreciate the sound quality in noisy environments anyway.

Who said anything about noisy environments?

Unless you are generalising all audiophiles as being small weedy pale men who live in fear of sunlight.

Easily the best Apple ad in some time. It doesn't need to say anything about features.. Everyone knows what a Pmp/iPod will do for them already.

The silhouette dancing ads were good too.

My reaction to the Ad

i really hope you are joking... Otherwise i am starting to understand now the warning in some microwave booklets where it says dont microwave your cat... :p

its an american thing, there's a whole book series about "American's dumbest laws and charges"

Disagree - it's lost the simplicity that Apple ads have always had, right from the overly gradiented background to the general complexity.

I disagree with the previous comment because I liked the latest iPhone ads, but they need the background to show that there was some sort of ground. And what of the Apple ads with flashing colors? Were those not "simple" enough? Or the FaceTime ads?

I'll bounce this stupid line up right into the lake.

This is the worst iPod line up ever. I Seriously hate it. The style sucks.

And I'm allowed to say that, so all you fanatics can kiss my butt.

************************************************************

Apple had a good thing going with the prev. Nano , the watch idea. They could have paved the way for wearable computing. It was a clear path, a hit and a run ......then a walk ?? WTF ???

Bummed out for Apple right now

i thought the watch idea was dumb. would have better fit the shuffle. the 4th and 5th gen nanos were the true ipod nanos

People who do things like jogging, weight lifting at the gym or go biking would disagree.

I know some people like to work out with their iPhone but not everybody likes to strap their phone to their arm or try to jog with an iPod Classic in their pocket.

It's why some people still buy Shuffles and Nanos.

Bye buy

Not sure I get the logic: No one is going to buy these, "which is why Apple have released them when nobody was looking."

Does that work?

it's the white plastic on the front contrasted against the color aluminum casing that makes it look cheap.

also, i don't find it amusing what apple does with the nano. apple switches between short/square'ish to slim and vertical, throwing in new features then taking them away, and calls each generation "new". while that is a general overstatement of the specific changes Apple makes - the pattern is there. and the pattern works - the design refreshes are far enough apart that people forget and look at each nano as truly being an "all-new" design.

it doesn't play video, it plays video, it plays video, it doesn't play video, now it plays video...

the only reason i am buying one and flipping the previous gen on eBay is because i bought it for my dad and it's too small for him to use (he's in his 60's). i would get him a 2009 5th Gen but the resale prices on eBay for 16GB are more than the current gen 16GB Nano (probably because as we know, Nanos have been getting worse)

And this line of thinking is why, even in my country where it would be very difficult to litigate for my own stupidity, my coffee cup has "CAUTION HOT COFFEE IS HOT" written on it.

Before you go off on the Hot Coffee meme, you should actually read the details of the law suit. In short, when you ask for a cup of coffee, do you expect it to come to you at a scalding, near boiling point temperature? No

Inspired by Foxconn workers bouncing on suicide nets. Or so I heard...

Since Foxconn workers live and work on premises, suicide attempts happen on premises. Most American workers don't live where they work, thus most suicides here happen elsewhere, most likely their homes.

Now go and look at suicide rates per capita
