Shipment Progress

Assuming Apple doesn't hold our iPhones once they're in America, it looks like we might get them by Tuesday. UPS time estimates for World Express shipping is Tuesday.

Also, according to FlightAware, a UPS flight landed in Hong Kong from Anchorage about a half hour ago (12AM EST), with this in mind, I'm assuming that our iPhones will make it onto the return flight from Hong Kong into Anchorage in a few hours. We'll see though.

Edit: I'm now showing scheduled delivery Tuesday by 10:30AM

Just got my notice too

Shipping from China.. due here by Tuesday 10:30am!!!! 'Bout time!

Man, mine is still prepared for shipping. Must be Karma for being negative :). Oh well, we shall see if it ever moves. Definitely been charged for it though. FWIW ordered at 12:04 AM PST 02/03 (3:04 AM EST).

Still will be shocked if we get these before Wednesday. Guess, that's not a bad thing though.

i JUST got my shipment notification now at 3:40AM Pacific time! YES!!!! Everything seems the same as everyone else's order, it's shipping from Shenzhen, China and arrives Tuesday by 10:30am! The origin scan was at 9:39am and was processed at 10:35PM on 2/05/11

Shipping verification! Due Tuesday by noon. Made my weekend.
See you guys on here later.

I received the same notification for the same date and time :) I was starting to get worried that Verizon orders would get theirs way before us.

Me too me too!! Shipping from China by UPS scheduled for a Tuesday by 10:30 delivery. Yay :D

I ordered two:

My wife's from from VZW and it's coming UPS by EOD MONDAY.
MINE is coming from Apple and is coming UPS by 10:30 Tuesday.

The irony.

Anyone else seeing this on their shipment?

"The service selected is not available to the destination address. / Downgraded, forwarded to consignee, selected service is not available."

Also received a shipping notice and UPS tracking number. Arrival on Tuesday the 8th. It's being delivered to my office so I don't have to worry about someone being home to sign for the package.

I told my wife that my iPhone was on its way. She told me to bring two pairs of pants to work that day, lol!!

I got this as well. It appears that they can't guarantee the 10:30am delivery because of our areas. We should still get it Tuesday, but not by 10:30am.

Does anyone know if you can call your local UPS hub up on Monday evening or Tuesday morning to hold it there and pick it up yourself?

No. People keep saying they want to try, but that doesn't work. Unless the shipper designates it up front, you CANNOT pick up a package until ONE delivery attempt has been made by the driver, period.

Mine says that also, I contated UPS and she said it's something to do with customs and altho my delivery says Tuesday that it will be on Wednesday.

Looks like my shipment confirmation was similar to many others.

Mine looks like it is coming early! It's already in the US, and has a scheduled delivery date of Monday 2/7/11! I don't know why mine would be any earlier and already in the US, but here's the proof:

Because that the tracking for a phone ordered through Verizon, not directly from Apple.

Yeah mine came in at 3:39 AM PST. I was getting pissed because I know I had to be in the first "few" orders as I had completed my order by 12:04 PST.

Anyone noticed it's gone from Shenzhen to Chek Lap Kok and then back to Shenzhen? This happened with an iPad case I ordered for my wife. It was a weird thing watching that order.

I guess we'll see whan they actually get here.

Yeah, it's kind of strange. Those two locations are about 15 miles apart, with the Hong Kong location being the shipping port. At least, it's on the water. I wonder if the times being out of sequence has something to do with the time difference?

These are being shipped by water? How would we receive them by Tuesday then? By water to L.A. port (I would assume or SF or whatever) then unloaded, then moved to wherever, then shipped via UPS dispatch to everyone across 50 states? In 3 days? That would mean that these would have to arrive in L.A. by Monday at the very latest? I probably seem ignorant but, I have no clue how shipping by boat works.

I experienced the same exact thing with my iPad cases. I had gotten my wife an iPad for an early X-mas gift because she had a business trip to NYC (she's a photo agent and uses it as a portable portfolio) and I didn't want her to destroy her iPad.

Anyway, I ordered on like the 7th, she was leaving on the 13th. I got the same type of tracking that it would arrive in like 3 days from China. Checking the tracking on it the same thing happened - Shenzhen to Chek Lap Kok and then back to Shenzhen. I'm like whatever at least it'll arrive before she takes off. Then, the delivery date started changing on me. Case didn't get here until the 14th. Day after she left.

Again, I've been a little "realistic" and probably pissed some people off. I never meant to upset anyone I just didn't want to get MY hopes up. But, NOW I REALLY want my phone on the 8th :).

I see that the AT&T orders were shipped from China last summer and indeed arrived in like 2 days so don't mean to cause any alarms :). Dammit why didn't I just stick to my "Won't be here until the 9th or 10th" theory so I could pleasantly surprised rather than OBSESSED!? :D

My boss told me today that sometimes items from Apple are listed as being in China, when in actuality they are in the US, just at a port. Once customs inspects them, then they switch to US. Might not be the situation here, but just thought I would pass the info along. I've been checking my order from Apple hourly. I have a sick obsession!

.

I ended up getting my shipped email at 5am, but I also didn't order till almost 11am on the 3rd. I get the feeling verizon orders will deliver on the 7th giving time for people to activate, apple on the 8th, etc etc. To help reduce the overall immediate rush for the open launch date on the 10th.
