Mine is already about 5 miles from my house and is saying that it'll be here on monday before 12pm :D

These are being shipped by water? How would we receive them by Tuesday then? By water to L.A. port (I would assume or SF or whatever) then unloaded, then moved to wherever, then shipped via UPS dispatch to everyone across 50 states? In 3 days? That would mean that these would have to arrive in L.A. by Monday at the very latest? I probably seem ignorant but, I have no clue how shipping by boat works.

I experienced the same exact thing with my iPad cases. I had gotten my wife an iPad for an early X-mas gift because she had a business trip to NYC (she's a photo agent and uses it as a portable portfolio) and I didn't want her to destroy her iPad.

Anyway, I ordered on like the 7th, she was leaving on the 13th. I got the same type of tracking that it would arrive in like 3 days from China. Checking the tracking on it the same thing happened - Shenzhen to Chek Lap Kok and then back to Shenzhen. I'm like whatever at least it'll arrive before she takes off. Then, the delivery date started changing on me. Case didn't get here until the 14th. Day after she left.

Again, I've been a little "realistic" and probably pissed some people off. I never meant to upset anyone I just didn't want to get MY hopes up. But, NOW I REALLY want my phone on the 8th :).

The main airport of Hong Kong is in Chep Lap Kok (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chep_Lap_Kok_airport). It's one of the main export hubs of Southeast China so I'm sure that it will be shipped by Air.

My boss told me today that sometimes items from Apple are listed as being in China, when in actuality they are in the US, just at a port. Once customs inspects them, then they switch to US. Might not be the situation here, but just thought I would pass the info along. I've been checking my order from Apple hourly. I have a sick obsession!

I don't think any of these would be at any "port" That would mean they are being delivered by cargo ships, which would take well over the expected date to get from Hong Kong to the US.

What about an airport? yuk yuk yuk

My iPhone arrived in Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong as of 3:40 PM EST today. Looks like they aren't in the US yet after all.

They're going to be in the US by plane. I didn't think that anyone would suspect that they're coming on boat.

If that's true, the updates are way behind. China is 13 hours ahead of us. It's 1100 on the 6th over there.

I'm assuming it's hong kong time because I received my confirmation email at 7:57 am this morning and it said that last known location was Shenzhen 2:45 PM. Either way we are all royally confused where the phones are exactly now, but I'm guessing they are either on the plane flying here or just landing and at an airport somewhere in the U.S.

Hope that helps a little.

Mines sitting there as well, strange it took till 7pm pst for that to finally show for mine.

Wow... What hype. I'm waiting for mine as well but tracking flights now? Lol. Just wait it out - it will come soon.

I assume our iPhones are on UPS63 and not UPS61?

I guess we'll know if our tracking info updates to Alaska before UPS63 arrives there.

I tried checking my status online but I get the error page all day:

I called 611 and it said it shipped and will arrive in 2 business days but when I check the tracking number it says we do not see a recent order for this number. What gives? Did my order ship or is it in limbo?

Strange - tracking on both of my orders has changed - it no longer shows an estimated delivery date. Both are listed in Hong Kong.

Yes its China time. My package said:
"Shenzhen, China 02/05/2011 2:45 P.M. Departure Scan" last night so it couldn't have been eastern time and been 02/05.
I assume they are already be in Alaska without a arrival scan because they have to clear customs before receiving that scan and that can take a day.
