Mine says import scan as well. That means it is now in customs hand's. I don't see any flights out of louisville later today/tom so assuming it will be put on a truck i doubt they arrive tomorrow morning.

If you go do an estimate from Louisville to my city, overnight exists. Since this is Worldwide Express, you'd think that would hold true as well.

From what I understand, UPS has a system in place that allows businesses that ship large quantities of freight to have things fly through customs en masse. I don't think Customs will prove problematic for delivery.

Especially a company like Apple who ships countless amounts of products through the same hub day in and day out.

It's the lack of any UPS flights I can find out of Louisville, today and tomorrow that lead me to believe this. If it's going ground don't see how it can make it by the am.

There has to be flights. Especially since, if that were the case, the delivery day would have been updated to reflect that it cannot be delivered my tomorrow. Either that, or UPS has developed transporter technology.

Edit: This is the description of UPS Worldwide Express: "Take advantage of this faster one-to-three day shipping service with guaranteed morning delivery times throughout the world." Since they all shipped on the fifth, tomorrow would make it three days, the last day of the range they say.

I found a flight for Syracuse tonight. Be sure to check the box for "Show direct flights on adjacent days." SDF is the code for Louisville, KY.

Syracuse is where packages bound for Rochester, NY are flown. They are trucked to Rochester in the overnight, then out for delivery the following morning. You may have to check to see what nearby city receives your UPS air shipments.

I found flights from Louisville to Miami, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Boston, JFK...

This is funny. My iphone was in Louisville and just now was teleported back to Hong Kong and was scanned for departure.

Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 02/07/2011 1:30 A.M. Departure Scan

Found a flight to JFK tomorrow morning, gets in at 10:02. Not sure it can make it from there to me by 10:30 but I'll hope to get it tomorrow. lol

I think this actually describes the local time, i.e. the time in Hong Kong when this happened. Since it's UTC + 8, that means it actually happened on 2/6 at 12:30 PM EST. ;)

As a thought, UPS should have notifications that go beyond status changes and such. They should include notifications for when there is any update to the tracking information at all. This way I don't have to periodically check where it is.

I know that most people only care when it comes from "In Transit" to "Out for delivery", but people like us need consideration too :p

It will be a tearful farewell, I am sure. Much like the final cast member on the last episode of The Real World, mine will probably be left all alone for a while, waiting to catch the 10:30pm flight to Syracuse.

This was a great journey with you all... I remembered when we were waiting in Hong Kong and had no idea when our flight would get there to take us to Anchorage....What a rough flight that was. Then Louisville customs was also a hassle. Well as we began parting our ways I hope your phones make a safe journey home tomorrow!

It was truly an honor travelling with everyone's iPhones here. I can only hope that they will one day meet again soon. Until then, I suggest we keep each other company until our new loves arrive =]
