Apple Preorder Status

Great updates. Wish mine came from PA since I'm only a state away from there haha.

Off-topic: Yay Packers! I'm a Giants fan but I'll always root for NFC in the Super Bowl if the Giants arent' in it.

Looks like there's a flight from Anchorage (departing 8:30pm Alaska time) that lands in Louisville 8:30am EST Monday. Should be a piece of cake to route those packages for overnight delivery on Tuesday.

I think I mentioned the situation earlier in the thread. No it wasn't delivered on time. It was a few days after the UPS anticipated delivery date. It just kept bouncing between the same two places for a couple days that our phones are right now.

I'm not saying that they'll be late. Even though before I got my tracking number, I swore we wouldn't receive them until the 9th at the earliest. We'll just see what it looks like tomorrow.

I still believe our phones were on UPS61 and UPS63 and they are sitting in Louisville, KY waiting to be scanned. I'm certain the quick stop in AK was just a refuel and probable pilot change before moving onto Louisville.
 
Mine has shipped from the manufacturing facility (in Shenzhen) and is currently with UPS. Must have been in the "second wave" of iPhones.

I'm guessing It's getting ready to be loaded onto a giant, brown 747.

Let's hope this turd can fly fast.


P.S. -> Ordered the 16GB around 11:00 A.M. on the 3rd, from the Apple store online and is guaranteed delivery by 10:20 A.M. Tuesday morning.

That's a definite possibility. AFAIK, sometimes they go through customs in AK, others they do it in Louisville. My guess is that since Apple is shipping freight, and in likely very large quantities, that they won't do customs and thus, scanning, until Louisville. Anybody remember what happened with the iPad launch?

I guess it's going to arrive on Tuesday with 1-day shipping from Louisville, KY. :D
 
I'm guessing they're just on pallets, and they're scanning them as a unit.

Either way, our iPhones definitely were on UPS59. So they should be in Louisville by morning, yes?
 
So I called to ask Verizon a question about something about my iPhone and the guy on the phone told me that it will not be delivered tomorrow but will be held until the 9th or possibly the 10th. I logged onto UPS and it's still showing delivery by noon tomorrow west coast time. I'd be pissed if they suddenly decided to hold them.
 
mine just touched down here in Colorado, about an hour from my house.

status still says delivery by 1030 am tomorrow. can't wait!

Mine too. In Anchorage. What a weird little journey huh?

PS- for you guys posting that you're receiving them tomorrow this thread is for those of us who ordered directly from Apple not VZW.

I guess the only thing we need to see now is if they hold them or not. I'm optimistic now but cautious.
 
I'm glad to see our phones are finally in the US. This is going to be a great week for me. First my Packers just won the Super Bowl which has me thrilled, and then my iphone will be here hopefully Tuesday. Hard to beat this week for me haha
