Wait, just for the iPhone? It would be nice if they fixed the bugs on the iPad as well. My M2 iPad Pro runs pretty well, but there are bugs such as those regarding switching from light mode to dark mode… and that’s without mentioning what’s happening to the M4 iPad Pro

It’s kinda odd that I see so many small details on iOS 18 that reflects Apple is not testing their software as they did in the past. A lot of design imperfections as well.
It seems that we are the testers of new OS' from Apple.

Hopefully they fix the podcast bug. When it suggests the next episode of a podcast to consume, it marks it as played. I'm always 2-3 weeks behind in episodes and was wondering why it seemed like no one published an episode last week. They did!

Good. Just off with Apple Support who ran diagnostics on iPhone 16 PM as mine keeps crashing and freezing after using camera button. No issues found so must be software.
I've been having a similar problem with the camera button, and the iPhone really seems to heat up when that happens, so I've been avoiding using it for now. If I access the camera differently, it seems to work okay. I was thinking of doing a full restore of the device from my backup.

The touchscreen issues are effecting ALL iOS devices running iOS18 it’s not an isolated issue with iPhone 16. Currently running 14 Pro and have the issue. Also on my iPad Air.
I don't have this issue with my iPhone 12, 16 and 14 Pro Max, as well as iPad Pro but I do with 16 Pro Max.

Sounds like a different issue, more likely carrier issue thank iOS.
The last time I saw an error with voicemail, it was 1035, which was a voicemail server issue. Your carrier should be able to reset your voicemail and correct that server link.

So far with iOS 18 I've noticed:

- The Music app randomly locking up but the next song continues playing. Eventually forced to close the app altogether to get it back to normal.
- Videos recorded on iOS 18 lock up when attempting playback. Even after being exported to another device such as a Mac. Only solution has been to put video into Final Cut and create a new video with that app. This mainly happens with videos longer than 5 minutes. No issues with shorter videos.
- Random touchscreen unresponsiveness

Overall disappointed in Apple. Stability and reliability is their main competitive advantage over the other OS. It might be a good idea to focus on the next iOS actually working than trying to rush so many features annually. Next time I'll hold off upgrading until the iOS X.1 version.

That's simply not true, I have had no issues what so ever on my iPhone 15 Pro 🤞
I believe the touchscreen issues IS on most all devices, but certain factors will mean that many like you and myself won't experience it. Since the problem supposedly relates to oversensitive "accidental touch" detection then you won't have a problem if you can guarantee only your indented finger is ever touching the screen. Apparently later models with smaller bezels are more likely to see a problem as are people that don't use a case -- both cases increae the chance that some other finger from holding the phone may just barely touch the screen.

Once again huge discussions and people getting crazy about battery life: incoming
This happens with every update. After every update there are multiple post of people complaining about battery life issues. It’s like they forgot the exact same thing happened just one year ago.

I partly blame Apple for not addressing this. Perhaps have a pop-up saying battery life may be reduced over the next 10 days or so.

I suspect this will be especially true for a week or so after AI features roll out. Some features want to index a lot of what you have on your phone and that's bound to take up some battery life. I wouldn't be surprised though if they try to do much of this only when the phone is being charged.

We expect iOS 18.0.1 to be a minor update focused on bug fixes. Issues that could be addressed with the update include [...] iPadOS 18 bricking some iPad Pro units with the M4 chip.
[Emphasis mine.] Yes, that "minor" issue of bricking flag ships products.
