Apple Providing Live Video of Today's iPad and Mac Event on Apple TV

To be fair, or not, the live streams from Apple that actually worked without a glitch are exceptions. Most of the time there's always an issue with watching these things live. So I'm not putting my hopes up. The mandarin dubbing was not a big issue last time, the stream constantly breaking was.
I really believe the future of the
TV lies in some kind of App Store. They can't continue just adding random channels to the home screen. Eventually there needs to be a coherent API and developer base who can make channels for just about anything and present them on an App Store. This would also let far more TV networks provide apps on the TV.
Call me bonkers for not waiting 5 hours, but i just ordered a Mac Mini
Not as crazy as some might think. If they announce an update, it is very likely that your order will be upgraded, or at the very least you'll get a choice.

No kidding. I'm pretty much over iPad's, never been a fan of AIO's like the iMac, but I do want an updated mini. I've been vacillating between an updated mini and a Surface Pro3. I don't need either one but my wife says I can have one or the other. I would prefer an updated mini so I can sell my MBA but still keep a vestige of OSX in my house. Without a mini update I'll hold on to my MBA and get a SP3.
In a little over 5 hours I will have my answer. I've waited this long, what's a few hours.
The viewing party is a great idea - to bad I have too be at an important meeting that I can't skip.
Microsoft used to host viewing/event parties - I remember back in the days when I got an invite (and attended) a Microsoft hosted Windows 95 event party.
Why? You can still watch a keynote if there's Mandarin dubbing. The english was still audible. But you can't watch a keynote if it's breaking every 30 seconds and you have to rebuffer and reload for 2 minutes to get it working again.

I'll miss it because of work! Hopefully there will be a spoiler free link to the finished keynote once it's on Apple's website.
I'm going to invite a Chinese friend to watch the event so if they don't provide a live translation like last time I'll be able to get it from him

I doubt it too, I just hope we don't have to wait another 4 years for another new category. I'm not saying I want an abundance of new products, I just don't want to wait until 2018/2019 for a major Apple TV overhaul.

This "we'll be back" nonsense on the Apple Store web site is really annoying when you want to order something (totally unrelated to whatever they're announcing), and they're pretending to be incompetent at managing the introduction of new SKUs on a retail web site like this.
They add, remove, and reprice items on their site every single day. There's no need to take the damn web site down for hours while people in time zones to the east of them wait for Tim to roll out of bed, drink his bespoke free-trade organic coffee, and make his way to the auditorium to announce a few new products, giving the go-ahead to put the new store up as he finally goes to lunch.
I just want to order a replacement for my dead Airport! Is that too much to ask?

Hope tonight will bring something about AppleTV like local app's ... It needs it bad. Else the competition will run of with most of the users in small countries like Denmark, where all Android TV Boxes have all local apps - Here Apple TV has Netflix and YouTube and some fillers like a Korean App. Are they kidding me? Korean? :-O :-D
