No. This time, it's a real problem. Apple has pulled 3.1.1. You just want to stir things up for your own benefit. Sad, really. So nobody here has had theirs bricked. Got it. Just the usual haters.
Funniest thing I've heard all day. NOT!I heard apple just released a $400 anti brick apple watch band to prevent the issue. it only comes in black right now.
There is a month wait for the new watch? I didn't expect that!Customer pre-ordered the new Watch and waited over a month to get it. Got it yesterday and this update then bricked it. Now we have to send it off for service and the customer will wait 3-5 business days for replacement. Where's the QA, Apple? This is NOT how you keep customers.
A couple years ago it would have been a "well that's strangely a non Apple thing to happen". Now it's normal and I feel like we are in the Microsoft days at AppleIt's super sad that I'm not surprised to see this.
You must have found it funny enough to take time out of your day to respond...Funniest thing I've heard all day. NOT!
But buy our $300 book!
I don't think that this hate I see it as disappointment, frustration, criticism and when it comes from the Apple fan base then something is not right with the brand. Criticism is good and companies should pay attention to it.So nobody here has had theirs bricked. Got it. Just the usual haters.
I had a long talk with a tech support employee when I couldn't restore my new iPhone 7+ from my 6s+ backup and was told in a round about way that customer facing employees are all instructed to never admit that they have heard of a widespread problem. I was in my local Apple Store and 3 people were standing behind me with my same issue and the "greeter" said it was the first she had heard of my issue, I said "shhh", listen to this person over here. I looked at the other person with the issue and we both shrugged our shoulders. I tried to show her my twitter feed with others having the issue. She just walked off, obviously frustrated. Apple seems to want to portray all their products as perfect and all problems are unique, at least when working face to face.Funny, I just finished talked to level 2 tech support for my watch and she claims she hadn't heard about this issue.
Fortunately, the guy I work with didn't brick his yesterday when he updated his watch 2.
Correction!---I have a series One watch--the bricking issue is with the series 2 watches--stay alert now.Shhhh!
Don't disturb the doomsayers in their natural habitat.
Wish I'd seen this earlier, just bricked my watch. Apple support says 7-10 days for replacement process. Apple is starting to rot.
This is what happens when you rely on your beta test customers to do your QA (quality assurance) testing. I'm a former Software QA Manager and worked at a few startups and Microsoft (about 15 years ago), and I'm appalled by how this billion dollar company can put out sh*t software like this. Just ridiculous.
SPEND MONEY AND HIRE SOME DECENT QA EMPLOYEES!!!
I do love my Apple watch, but that didn't make this any less funny...The good news is that a bricked Apple Watch is only slightly less useful than a functional one.
I wonder if, like it's predecessor, it's going to be another scorcher, and sell like hot cakes?lol. samsung galaxy s8 edge next year it is!
There is a month wait for the new watch? I didn't expect that!
