So, you'd rather have a limited warranty for only 2/3 years, rather than an ongoing warranty that would last multiple years beyond that? I'm sorry, but I'd gladly have my M1 Mac Mini under an ongoing warranty (AppleCare+) than have to accept the fact it's no longer covered and, if anything happens to it, I'm up poop creek in a leaky canoe without a paddle!Yeah it feels like they're definitely gonna get rid of the 2/3 years plan
Which SUCK

I’ve purchased it with every Apple device I’ve purchased for me and my children. Not just when devices have broken screens or cracked backs, but also when mechanical issues pop up after the 1 year warranty expires.I’m just curious as to how many people purchase AppleCare+? I’ve been using Apple products since 2007, and have never purchased Apple Care+. No issues with products either that weren’t resolved at no cost.

I think you may have missed the point, I have a case and screen protector and the only time I every had to use the credit card protection was when I didn’t have a case and screen protector on my iPhone 4S.Some people don’t have or can’t get the credit cards that will cover their devices, so AppleCare+ is their insurance. Everybody isn’t so lucky. Plus some people like it for peace of mind. Me personally I like it for peace of mind, and the fact that I work 6 days a week, and do not have the time to take off and visit an Apple Store to have my device repaired and be without.
It was about £8 a month and gave me phone insurance, travel insurance, and basic car breakdown cover. And how much did you pay for that insurance?
You could always cancel the 2-year plan early anytime and be refunded for unused coverage (pro rata).I tend to prefer the monthly since you can cancel anytime if by chance you upgraded sooner than you expected.
I think I value my marriage more than the cost of AppleCare. They certainly aren't breaking them on purpose. Glass is glass and glass will break.Maybe go without and ask them to be more kind to their devices and take a bit more care?
I've noticed we tend to value things more when they don't just get replaced over and over again with little to no repercussions

I went to buy regular Applecare+ on my new 16PM and it only gives me the option with the additional Theft and Loss coverage which I have no interest in - I WFH. The $10.49 plan just doesn't show up. Anyone else seeing this? I'm in the US if that matters.
GoogleTV has App Only Mode, and whatever movie and tv show ads are cycling are similar to what AppleTV does. I have greater flexibility without being treated like a child as GoogleTV offers Developer Mode and Apple feels even it’s adult customers need protection which is an insult to its developer tbh.Happily, I am exactly the opposite. Enjoy being what Google is selling.
Yes, I asked this question yesterday. I am wondering if the standard AppleCare+ plan gone or just being hidden.I went to buy regular Applecare+ on my new 16PM and it only gives me the option with the additional Theft and Loss coverage which I have no interest in - I WFH. Ahh - okay. I searched back a little bit but glossed over your reply somehow.Yes, I asked this question yesterday. I am wondering if the standard AppleCare+ plan gone or just being hidden.
I have never had a screen breaking on any of my iPhones (starting with the 3GS), but on my 13PM after a little over 2 years faceID started to fail on me and I got a refurb via AC+ha! Fair enough, I hear ya
I'm just always amazed how I've broken one iPhone screen - ever, despite having one since 2007 and using it all over ... boating, running, at the gym, etc
People may not be breaking them "on purpose", but they are being careless to some degree
There's no other explanation. Phone screens don't spontaneously break themselves
