If the Air isn't retina it had better bloody be higher resolution, either that or a lot cheaper, getting beyond a joke now.

What about Retina 11 and 13 then the mac book 13 and then the mac book pro 13 and 15 (and we can hope 17) so dropping pro from the non retina macbook pro?

it makes sense when apple could get their hands on early on the chip from intel.

will be buying the "previous gen rmbp" then. for a great discount when this new one comes out :D

I honestly hope that OSX 10.9 will make more of a "bang" than Haswell at WWDC

I agree. Like iOS, I'd like to see significant steps forward with OS X.

The current hardware with Haswell will be great. We just need some fresh software to bring it all together.

Same here! If it is announced at WWDC and released on the same day, it will coincide with the end of my Semester exams :)
So hopefully I will get a nice holiday present (at a hefty price).

As for me, if it gets released in June, it will coincide with my trip to the US and I'll be able to buy a Haswell 13" rMBP for 1,500-1,700 dollars. Otherwise, I'll have to settle with the Ivy Bridge model or pay the 3,000-3,500 dollars which Apple charges for these laptops here in Brazil. So, a June launch will be very, very welcome for me.

My guess is that the main event will be iOS 7, which is expected to undergo a pretty dramatic cosmetic change. This would directly link to cosmetic changes to Mac OS X 10.9, as the two share many cross-platform features. Ofcorse there will be many other features/tweaks the two OSs, although these visuals would be the highlight. Therefore just due to the mere 'freshness' in OS aesthetics updates, it would definitely outshine the Haswell announcement.

I have planed to purchase a rMBP15 when availble with Haswell (usb3 bug free), better if comes with IGZO tech but not as critical as panel quality.

So is very probable my bank will hold my money by few months after WWDC.

But what about the Mac Pro!?
Tim Promised! He Pinky Promised!
Tim can't back out of Pro Pinky Promise!

Seems like WWDC, with its audience full of developers, would be the perfect place to announce the new Mac Pro or its successor - and a good opportunity to bring back "One more thing...", too, for a bit of drama.

That would be awesome if you could grab one cheap in the States! It would cover the air fare ;)
To add to my scenario, I am going to Europe on holidays a couple weeks after WWDC, so would be ideal to get the new rMBP and prepare it so I could bring it overseas (agrhhh first world problems right?). Not sure if any parts of Europe benefit from low-priced Apple products like the US. Australian store is expensive!

I'm guessing the resolution won't change until it becomes cheap enough to quadruple it. They won't make a partial jump to 1650x1080.

this wwdc will be like in 2012 without the introdution of a new mac product.
i mean the entire line up (i don't know about the classic MBP) will get updated.
Macbook air i think will never have black bezel, the aluminium bezel and the black bezel are the logo of apple macbook, but i don't argue with the fact that will use ips technology on air too when they put retina. So finger cross i thing beside the cpu and gpu little boost the main upgrades i hope they will be the batterie - 9-10h usages instead of 7h, and reduce the heat like they did in iphone 5, like in the new iMacs now its time for macbook aswell

Steve did it so well haha

I just got the late 2012 15" MBP (retina) 7/8 months ago as well..I take It I'll won't be missing out much If It's just a processor upgrade?

so just another incremental update.. IS APple working on anything new anymore? or any radical change?
ANd please don't mention iWatch.. (OK, any good new stuff? or any awesome radical change?)

Would make for a great show. One More Thing, new Mac Pro built in the United States. Would get huge cheers from the crowd I imagine. :)

That wouldn't be such a great idea. While the rMBP has a fantastic screen resolution, that's all it offers. It removes important features for many users (matt screen option, physical ethernet, optical drive, the ability to upgrade storage and RAM) and is just less flexible in every day use. If I were buying a new laptop now and the only choices Apple had were the Air and the rMBP, I'd buy a Thinkpad! Sorry Apple, but lighter and thiner doesn't help me get my job done.

It would seem to me that trading an Ethernet port for an extra Thunderbolt port would make it more flexible, not less. But I see your overall point.

Why are the prices so inflated in Brazil?

I am hoping the 11" and 13" become 12" and 14" models just by shrinking the bezel and adding a hundred lines both ways.

What I want from this years WWDC:

-rMBA (11" and a very minimal bezel please...)
-Redesigned OSX with Siri
-Redesigned iOS interface
-iWatch

But what I 'really' want is the ability for the backlit keyboard on Macs to be customisable, with 'e-ink' keys, allowing one to change the layout or configuration of keys...
